[Board/Tactical Game]: Hansa, reviewed by Tom Vasel (3/3)

http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/11/11623.phtml

Tom Vasel's Summary:

There's a group of people who like cold, analytical games. Hansa will please these people, because it's a game that works well. I don't really like it because it bores me to tears.

For another point of view, make sure you checkout my review:

I originally gave Hansa a 4/4, and my estimation of the game has only gone up in the year and a half since. Hansa regularly makes it into my game day bag, moreso than almost any other 2004 release, thanks to its combination of serious strategic play with ease of teaching and short gamelength.

I agree with Shannon on this one. Hansa has gotten a lot of playing time in our office's lunch play sessions, and is universally enjoyed by the five regular players. The game has a good combination of depth, strategy and screwing your competitors, all realized in a short and digestible playing time. I respect Tom Vasel's opinions and usually agree with his assessment of games, but I have to differ this time.
