[RPG]: Extreme PARANOIA, reviewed by DagobahDave (3/4)

http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/11/11695.phtml

David Graffam's Summary:

Extreme PARANOIA is a 128-page sourcebook introducing a radical concept to the game: promotion. RED Troubleshooters may find themselves rising through the ranks from ORANGE through VIOLET and learning that power and responsibility in Alpha Complex is a double-edged sword. Great ideas from the Traitor Recycling Studio are tempered by some clunky graphics and (gasp!) a misplaced page.

Disappointed with Gaffs

I was really looking forward to this book. However, with the problems mentioned, and the fact that Paranoia products are not generally cheap in their Mongoose Incarnation, I'm probably not going to get this. To obad the likelihood of a new printing with corrected errors is unlikely.

Re: [RPG]: Extreme PARANOIA, reviewed by DagobahDave (3/4)

Hi guys,

Just a quickie to point out that the page 40 snafu was a printer-based problem, not a final draft problem. We have dispatched a team of troubleshooters to their offices to demand a resolution so no doubt the printing facility will be wiped off the face of the Earth very soon. . .

The way I look at it, anybody with internet access should be able to fill in the one missing piece easily enough. I really enjoyed this book, and I hope that comes across in the review. If I could give a 4.5 for Substance, I would have. There may be other reviews coming up that are kinder than mine. There's plenty of goodness and new ideas in it, and I don't in any way regret picking it up.

I hope you reconsider.
