[Comic]: Dragonlance Chronicles #2 & Dragonlance Chronicles #3, reviewed by ShannonA (4/4)

Shannon Appelcline's Summary:

The adaptation of Dragons of Autumn Twilight comes to be well written and well adapted, and with these next two issues the story really takes off.

Dragonlance Comics

I'm not a real comics person, but I have picked up these ones so far. I have to agree with you in general, Shannon. The art is certainly nice enough.
However, I don't really agree with the pacing. Perhaps it's my lack of familiarity with the medium, but the story is moving way, way too fast for my liking. That choppiness between scenes is really jarring.

What was really key for me though, was that when a Dragon came on the stage it looked the part. And it did.
It should turn into a really great showcase for Dragonlance.

I said pretty much the same thing:

Quote:
My only complaint about the storytelling is that it occasionally feels a little choppy, as the story of Dragons of Autumn Twilight is boiled down to its essence. Things seem to move past very quickly, and you almost get whiplash moving from one scene to another.
I think it is a genre issue to a certain extent, because it's hard to boil down a novel to a 9-issue comic, but I've also read adaptations which were better paced.

And I certainly agree about the dragon!
