[Board/Tactical Game]: Runebound Second Edition, reviewed by Tom Vasel (4/5)

http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/11/11726.phtml

Tom Vasel's Summary:

Runebound runs a little long with four or more players, and doesn't have much player interaction. Who cares! The experience of growing your character, and playing this RPG style board game outweigh these factors, making Runebound a \"must play\", in my book.

Having played it several times, my group found it increasingly dull due to the lack of player interaction. It's a much better solitaire game...but I don't need to spend $50+ to get a decent solitaire game. I'll probably be selling my copy.

Tom or someone:

Can you tell me about what the different character types are? I don't need the complete list, but I'm wondering about male-female balance, how stereotypical they seem, whether they're all equally "balanced," that sort of thing.

They're pretty well balanced. We've played about four games of it, and haven't noticed any particularly sucktacular characters.
