...of the Hero System. I thought I'd never play it again, because... well, let's not start THAT discussion again. But after seeing Hero Games 2007 Release Schedule, I will almost definitely change that.
Champions of the North, written by none other than GestaltBennie, one of the best Hero writers ever, in my opinion. Lands Of Mystery, by Aaron Alston, THE Hero writer. Post-Apocalyptic Hero! Lucha Libre Hero! Do you get that?? Lucha Libre Hero!!. How can you NOT want to play it?

There's an article in Digital Hero about it. It's awesome. Basically, it's the outline of a campaign / concept where superbeings are Gestalts of concepts and ideals, and what the consequences to them and the world would be.

Its different than that. You can find some of the old files about it here. It has some pretty cool stuff to it, I've been hoping that it would get published since I first came across them on the internet.

I haven't played HERO in ages, but I always keep an eye on the new Hero books, as they have been of extra-high quality (Expecially Fantasy Hero and Star Hero!) Aarn sounds like something I'll have to pick up, as well as Post-Apoc Hero. Very cool!

Oh, and, Steve, give him some money to finish Gestalt Hero. Put THAT on the 07 schedule.
The product in question is actually just called Gestalt. It's a superhero setting derived from Scott's Champions campaign; it's not Nobilis or anything like it. I wouldn't be surprised if Scott ambles along soon enough to explain a little bit more, but basically the name derives from the campaign's underlying premise that superhumans are the embodiments of various "gestalt" concepts. A brick character might be the Gestalt of Strength; a speedster character might be the Gestalt of Wind; and so on. The premise shapes the campaign setting and characters in intriguing ways.
We're not going to publish it, but Scott is himself using the HERO System rules under a license from us (and I think some other rules under various other companies' licenses).
