[Board/Tactical Game]: Techno Witches, reviewed by Tom Vasel (3/4)

http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/12/12094.phtml

Tom Vasel's Summary:

Techno Witches simulates the dueling battles of magic-users as they zoom across the sky on their brooms. It has some nice mechanics, is easy to play - although I can't shake the odd theme. Fun, and has a lot of different types of games that can be played with this \"system\".

Theme

Though I haven't played the game (I must admit it sounds interesting, though- it also sounds like it has some similarity with Robo-Rally, only with slightly different movement mechanics- can you comment on that?), I personally find the idea of Witches on broomsticks a much more engaging theme than planes or spaceships, partly because it's novel and partly because I'm a bit of a fantasy geek.

Anyway, excellent review as always.

Same here. A cross between Quidditch and RoboRally (if that's what it is) sounds great.
