[Book/Fiction]: Xenology, reviewed by Frank Sronce (5/5)

http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/12/12169.phtml

Frank Sronce's Summary:

The tale of how the Inquisition destroyed the alien bestiary at Biegel-9. Includes analysis and dissection notes on various alien races in the Warhammer 40K universe and lots of tasty fluff.

Fluff?

Thanks for the review, but I *hate* the word fluff. I think it's a terrible term for something so critical to a game, particularly in contrast to "crunch" the perceived real content of a "wargame".

I personally prefer "background" or "setting information". Otherwise, sounds like an interesting book...

Well, I hope it's clear from the review that I don't consider it a pejorative term. I just wanted to be clear that the book contains no game rules (or even references to the game as a game) whatsoever.
