[RPG]: Bulldogs! - Robots, reviewed by Kravell (4/4)

http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/12/12280.phtml

Charlie Dunwoody's Summary:

Robots is both a complete ruleset for playing D20 robots as well as a hook-filled idea generator for GMs. It is not a \"Monster Manual\" of robots, as no completed robots are included.

Question Bulldogs?

Okay, I know that this review is about Robots, and not about Bulldogs, proper...
But, a little more information about the setting would have helped!
{Or, at least, a Link to an existing reveiw of the Core rules...}

{Speaking of which... They don't seem to be available on DTRPG! Do you know where these Core Rules can be found?}

I'm also a little confused...
If this is compatible with Edition 3.5, that makes it sound like it's for AD&D, and NOT for D20 Moderns/D20 Future!
With the mention of Aliens, I assume it's not a Fantasy Supplement, but it's sometimes hard to tell the difference, anymore!

How well do you think these rules would work for Droids in a D20 Star Wars game? I know my GM was fairly disappointed in what WotC provided...
but, hitting that 'right' balance point between making a Robot Player Character type that's worth playing, that isn't much too powerful, and that somehow maintains the proper 'feel' for a 'Star Wars' universe setting, sounds like a tall order...
Especially for a game designed to fit 'some other' Universe!

Mostly, though, it seemed a pretty good review, for a 'quick overview'...

Re: Bulldogs?

Hiya!

The core rules books for Bulldogs! are published by their creator Galileo Games here

http://www.galileogames.com/

The book is not specifically designed for d20 Modern/ Future but is compatible with d20 3rd Edition rules.

For more information on the Bulldogs! setting itself please contact its creator Galileo Games.
