[Avatar] So where is the Avatar RPG?

After watching the lastest Avatar the airbender movie, I've come to think this would rock as a gaming setting.

Has anyone done a conversion yet?

any linkage?

Not yet, but I'm thinking of HeroQuest for the system.

Let me be the first one to say it...

Exalted

Airbender = Air Aspected Terrestial Exalt.

Um, no. Exalted as a system wouldn't work well for it. You'd have to rework the charms and the mote economy system.

I have to agree, here, as this seems like one of the most logical things already available. Each of the benders (from what I understand) would match up nicely with each of the Aspects. I'm sure you'd have to do a bit of tweaking here and there, but if you don't mind slogging through Exalted's rules, the "moxy" is there.

Now all you have to do is breathe life into it!

I'd imagine you could fiddle for mere moments with Wushu and do the exact same thing, only faster. I don't know for certain, though, as I've never actually played Wushu - it just seems to me that it'd work.

Weapons of the Gods, only with the elements the Attributes are keyed to changed (Speed = Air, Might = Earth, Presence = Fire, Wu Wei still = Water, Genius = Spirit), and strongly elemental kung fu reworked into bending.

Re: [Avatar] So where is the Avatar RPG?

I've toyed with the idea of using Everway as a base. You've already got the Elements built into the system, and Bending could be done either as Powers or Magic.

Best,

Rob

Wushu can work for anything, but my choice for this would be Everway. It's already set up with the elemental aspects to begin with.

[edit]Damn it! Slow on the draw again!

Re: [Avatar] So where is the Avatar RPG?

Mr Jonathan Walton has made an Avatar game in his blog

http://thou-and-one.blogspot.com/200...st-thread.html

but honestly, i still don't understand how its played

i would recommend something light and descriptive , like Wushu, Trollbabe, Over the Edge, everway etc. since it wouldn't be such a hardwork tweaking, compared to tweaking exalted and such

plus from the look of the show, if you notice, each character has some sort of descriptive attribute attach to them, for example : sokka=the plan guy, Aang =the Avatar, katara = the gal who keeps the team together and so forth
