The "Thief" character is called "Femme Fatale" in this game: changing a cube's color to your own is pretty much the same as stealing a resource.

Ah, that makes sense. I hadn't quite sussed out which was the equivalent, but I think you're right!

Age Appropriateness

What age range does the game work for? Or rather, can I play it with my 10-year-old niece?

New! Hear me tell stories at The Emu Speaks
Now Playing: Mouse Guard, remotely. Almost playing Dogs in the Vineyard. Maybe, possibly Ars Magica.

One minor correction: In the review, it says that the First Player marker moves clockwise at the end of a turn, but I think it actually goes to whichever player went last during the just completed turn.

With regard to age appropriateness: I just got it and will be playing it tonight for the first time with my monthly game group, but I hope to play it again soon with my wife and two older children (ages 11 and 9). They're old hands at Eurogames by now and I think they'll do fine.

Thief actions in Bruno Faidutti games

It turns out that the Thief tile in Silk Road was in Ted Cheatam's early prototype, so it wasn't Bruno Faidutti's addition. But maybe it's why he agreed to work on it!
