[Board/Tactical Game]: BattleLore, reviewed by Tom Vasel (5/5)

http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/12/12606.phtml

Tom Vasel's Summary:

BattleLore goes beyond the previous games in Richard Borg's series (Memoir '44, etc.) for several reasons - becoming an instant favorite of mine. The reasons are thus:
- The complexity of the game, while still very simple, has now been expanded to the point where strategy is much more prevalent.
- The expandability of the game is fantastic, allowing new races, combinations of units, and even monsters!
- The customizable war council is terrific and really makes the game for me, allowing a decent amount of strategy in game setup.

Great review, as usual. Only two thing make me sad:

1. I called my FLGS where I placed my preorder and they aren't expecting BL in until next Monday.

2. Even once I get it, it's going to be a Christmas present from my family to me, so I have to hand it over to my wife for gift-wrapping and hiding.

But this way, at least, I'm assured of something fun under the tree this year!

Looks awesome...

Hopefully they'll still be around and wildly successful once my kids are old enough to play.

This is not a comment on the review itself, but did anyone else have a hard time getting to this page? I had to manually remove "&20" from the url to get the page to load. I worry that a lot of interested parties had the same problem and weren't able to read this review.

Excellect review, sir. I like the wealth of details and the clear enthusiasm for aspects you enjoyed. It made the review fun to read while being highly informative.
