Overall, this is a great little book that should be a welcome addition to any True20 game. It is well worth the $14.95 price tag and could even work as a ‘budget’ RPG for any GM who wants to take his own setting and run with it.
<i>In fact the six chapters in this book contain almost exactly the same information and artwork as the first six chapters of the full sized version. Unfortunately this includes all of the errors that have been identified from the larger book.</i>
Actually, all known errata in the <i>True20 Adventure Roleplaying</i> core book should have been corrected in the Pocket Player's Guide, at least everything we knew about when the Pocket Player's Guide went to print. I don't have a copy of the actual book on-hand to check, but they were corrected in the proofs I saw. If you know of any errors in the PPG, please contact me at steve@greenronin.com and let me know know about them.

I presume it does, which would be pretty cool for me. I picked up the Arabian setting book - SUPER book - but don't actually have True 20. Is the pocket guide all I need?
The review seems a bit incomplete. If the reformatted tables are MOSTLY a good thing, are they SOMETIMES not good? Why not?

Sorry for the confusion. What I mean is that the new formatting (IMO) improves the readability of most of the tables. The ones that did not 'improve' stay about the same. Not bad, just the same.
The main thing you will be missing by picking up the pocket guide is the chapter on foes. If the 'Arabian' setting has enough of that for you, then you’re golden.
I bought this as a very low risk intro to True20. Fell in love with the system but never felt the need to buy the fuill book, since I bought the Bestiary instead and didn't need the settings in the main book except Caliphate Nights which i also shall buy.
It's a good teaser product and also quite useable as your main rulebook.
