[SotC] Aspect compelinvoke-a-thon!

Since I've been getting all kinds of good invokes and compels, I thought I would give back a bit and get the ball rolling for lots of Aspect love all around (plus, I'm trying to get the SotC thread count to beat the Exalted one).

So here's how it works. You take the Aspect in the last post and suggest an Invoke and a Compel for it. Then you add an Aspect of your own that you are looking for Invokes and Compels for. Context, character details are up to you.

I'll start. This one is taken from Rel Fexive's Actual Play post, it's for Oscar Ironhouse, Acquirer of Antiquities.

Gordian Knot

Invoke: can use it to cut through a complex problem with blunt simplicity
Compel: can be compelled to take a shortcut to resolve a complex and potentially dangerous problem ("just cut the biggest wire!")

Here's mine:

That's No Laughing Matter

Compel to cause a social problem for the character who just does not get the joke or can't shrug off a joke made at his expense.

Invoke to remain serious and focused on a specific task that others may find useless or funny.

OK, here's another one (should be easy).

The 'Reformed Villian' who has the aspect Old Habits are Hard to Break.

Invoke: use it to help break into a villain's secret headquarters and steal the thingus.

Compel: the crown jewels of Palookistan have gone missing and guess who the cops come looking for first!

Here's mine: A Sucker for a Pretty Smile

Re: [SotC] Aspect compelinvoke-a-thon!

A Sucker for a Pretty Smile

Invoke: When trying to get some files from the prim, buttoned-down librarian.

Compel: When invited to the gaming table with a subtle wink by the beguiling Kitty "Flush" Royale.

next one:

A Man for All Seasons

Invoke: to look good in front of the Pretty Smile. It doesn't matter if it's a fight, a social gathering or a chess match. As long as winning the match would help you with Pretty Smile, you're going for it.

Compel: For the same reason as above, to get way over your head trying to impress Pretty Smile. Also, to trust everything pretty smile says without questioning.

Here's mine: Live Fast.Die Young.Leave A Beautiful Corpse.

A Man For All Seasons

Invoke: when acting in the service of conscience or protecting the family.
Compel: force action in the face of injustice or refuse action that would compromise his principles.

Mine: Nothing is secret

Re: [SotC] Aspect compelinvoke-a-thon!

Nothing is secret

Invoke: To uncover secrets and interrogate people
Compel: To delve deeper to uncover potential secrets, even at risk to one's own wellbeing or that of your associates. This ranges from nosy questions to the major of New York in front of a large audience to opening that possibly the cursed box of Shalazoom to uncover it's secrets

And so we don't skip a nice aspect, the next is: Live Fast. Die Young. Leave A Beautiful Corpse.

There ain't no wrinkle that can't be ironed out with a hot Colt 1911.

Take a Fate point for your generosity!

Invoke: jumping into any life-threatening situation where you will look good dying.
Compel: jumping into any life-threatening situation where you will look good dying.

I'll leave Phishtrader's as the next one.

Re: [SotC] Aspect compelinvoke-a-thon!

Invoke to solve a problem that's not normally call for gunfire
Compel: to make problems for others that require gunfire.

Next one: "Don't worry, I'll just order another."
