[RPG]: Angel Director's Screen, reviewed by Dan Davenport (5/4)

http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/12/12915.phtml

Dan Davenport's Summary:

I can’t recommend buying it for the adventure, but I can’t see many people doing that anyway. The included booklet’s game aids and the screen itself, on the other hand, let you run a game almost rulebook-free.

Good review, Dan.

I suppose the most logical question would be...

Is there a difference in the information presented on the Buffy and Angel screens?

Highly entertaining, as always!

Your review formatting always impresses the hell out of me.

Thanks, Simple Man!

After doing a side-by-side comparison, the Angel screen includes two tables not present on the Buffy screen: the Jump Table and the Tossed Item Chart. In addition, the Angel screen features the combat maneuvers that appear in the Angel corebook but not in the Buffy corebook.

Thanks, CWR!

I'm glad you like the formatting. Believe me when I tell you that it took a whole lot of trial and error.

Nice review. Has Eden managed to fix some of the printing errors in the quick sheets between now and the original printing?

It's really sad to see the license gone. Buffy/Angel were the most flexible and enjoyable RPG products I ever bought.

Thanks, Asmodai! I'm not aware of any changes to the quick sheets, unfortunately. I'd think that this would have been mentioned on the errata if it had been.

I agree. I only hope that Beyond Human lives up to the hype and anticipation.

Good review Dan! I especially like that new character that you were talking about. She sounds like a pretty cool character.

I personally like the game anyway!

Yeah, like you're completely unbiased.

Folks, Charmed here was the one to hire me at my current job and was, until my move to a different department, my boss. She's referring to her own character. See, I made my boss a gamer.
