Re: [RPG]: Supers Week - Truth & Justice: The Turtlezilla Dossier, reviewed by C.W.Ri
Personally, one of my favorite parts of the .pdf were the kaiju-themed poems at the front. I think
At the sight of kaiju
Fighting in a rubber suit,
Even the critic's critic
Would get more popcorn
Also, typical of what I've seen of Chad Underkoffler's work, you get conflicting theories about what Turtlezilla is, which present a variety of ideas you can use as MacGuffins or essential clues depending upon your interest. So even if a player has read part of the Turtlezilla Dossier, they can't be sure what variant of the main plot you'll throw at them. It's a nice modular concept executed quickly with flavor, like something you'd order at an RPG tapas bar.
It's just such a large inclusion in a small product. A little more than 5% of the product is your poetry While I think it's surprisingly well done, given that I found it in an RPG supplement about a giant turtle, I don't think it inspires the reader (in an adventure prep sense) or otherwise contributes to the goal of the product - running a short adventure in Truth & Justice.
I had never been exposed to Wallace Stevens before You are just communicating far beyond my level!

Fair enough.
I included it because it was fun and because I needed to fill a big chunk of whitespace.
