Chad Underkoffler's Truth & Justice is a deceptively simple system packing a wallop of a punch. It will satisfy players by giving them superheroes that are badasss from the start, and it will make the GM's life easier by making it a breeze to handle surprises.

Great review! The more I read about "Truth & Justice" the more and more I'm inclined to use it as my next superhero game. I downloaded the preview rules at Atomic Sock Monkey's website and was damn impressed.
A question though. How well do the power rules duplicate power-armor/gadgeteers and magic? From my experience, these two areas can make a break a supers system.

They have two different power suit suites (as examples), allow you to build powers with broad penumbras (areas) of ability as well as slot sub abilities under such powers. Gadgets are just another application of powers (and traits such as Gadgeteer [Good] then using stunts to pull out needed items on the fly.)

A fine review of a very worthy game. I'm playing in a campaign at the moment (and recording it too! Appearing soon on RPGMP3.com for those who enjoy listening to "actual play") and this is quite simply the only supers game I have ever found that lets players make the heroes they truly want. Powers work the way they should, i.e. the way you imagined them. Action is fast, fluid and packed with flavour. Lovers of minute details may blanch at the apparent simplicity of PDQ but don't be put off. This is an incredibly sophisticated game, written by a man who really knows his onions.

Heh, it's funny how we (as in, our group) complained about the slow advancement, but Sophie was able to sum up why such a thing can be a boon- introducing new players doesn't run into the issue of lop-sided experience levels as much as some other games might!
Great review Sophie- and in a format I might swipe and tweak for my own in the future!
