[Book/Fiction]: Sci-Fi Week: The Apocalypse Troll, reviewed by Eric Tolle (1/1)

http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/13/13141.phtml

Eric Tolle's Summary:

A warrior babe from the future falls into the lap of a 20th century sailor- and the result is boring. Maybe if the got the rights a Japanese anime studio could do something interesting with the concept; Weber certainly can't.

Exactly the experience I had with one of his other books. That one ended up with a bunch of knives, forks and corkscrews in it.

Heh. It's a pity Weber's book isn't as entertaining as your review.

Apocalypse Troll . . . I mean, really, how could that not be a comedy?

I do have one serious question about the book:

In your opinion, would it be resilient enough to serve as an effective backstop for a CO2-powered pellet rifle or rimfire pistol?

Did you read the same book that I did? Frelling civilians. It's MILSCIFI, either you get it or you don't. All I learned from this review is that I should never read any reviews from you ever again. I have no problem with your taste, except that I violently disagree with it, and it sucks. Good day sir.
