Hey, Trey, thanks for the review! I'm glad you like what the game does. Despite any unclarity in the text, you seem to understand the fundamentals of the game.

And, like in the other review threads, I'll link to the clarifications that you found on the Net: Matthijs Holter's clarification thread and the Errata at the glyphpress.

Hey, I just came across this page and wanted to remind folks that Shock: has been in version 1.1 since August, 2007. By all accounts, the new text is much clearer.
