How long do the new quests take to play? One of the things that has kept me from picking up Descent is hearing how long the game takes.

Still in the 3 to 4 hour range, depending on rules proficiency. I ran "The Thing in the Pit" last week with a new player, and it ended up pushing toward the 4.5 hour range; with my regular players, I expect it would have gone much faster.

My group views our boardgame nights as mini-RPG sessions (which run 6-7 hours for us these days), so 4 hours on a game is short by comparison, but I can understand how it bars some people from playing.
