Cold City takes the groups of men and women unsure of their trust in each other into the dark world of secret Nazi experiments with the occult! Can you trust your fellow players when another war might break out under the streets of Berlin?

Hey Brennan,
Just like to say thanks for the review.
Out of interest, how would you like to see a rules summary set out? A checklist of things to remember? Key points in creating a dice pool? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on this. Gives me more information from which to create such a thing that we can put up on our website as a free download.
Oh, and I should add that as well as the PDF version reviewed here, the game is also available in hardcopy from our own website or Indie Press Revolution.

Nice!!! Thanks for the review, definitely seems like something up my alley. How much information does the core book have in terms of campaign/adventure seeds/scenarios? Are you left to figure all that out yourself, or what?

Hi, thanks for the interest.
Indeed, yes, there is information in the book about how to construct adventures, plus a sample adventure (the really rather good 'Prisoner Number 8', written by Steve Dempsey) and a bunch of seeds that look at different definitions of 'monster'.
There's also the recently released Cold City Companion, which offers further advice (gained from a year of the game being out, with feedback from actual play, reviews, comments, etc) on how to collaboratively construct games. However, everything you need is in the main book, the Companion is not a necessary supplement. Although, it does contain a lot of good stuff and is a very worthy add-on for Cold City.

Great game by the way. It's one of those "I have a lot of housework to do but I can't really put this down..." Sort of games.
Well, my major gripe was that the weapons damage is in the middle of the book where you have to root it out every time you roll damage until you're more familiar with it. IT would have been great placement in with the appendixes as well as a quick rule-sum up.
But like I said, pretty minor gripe for such a fun game.
Thanks for the chance to review it!

Thanks, that's good to hear.
I think that a simple checklist of how to create a dice pool, an abbreviated list of consequences and so forth would be useful if put on a single, downloadable page.
