[RPG]: [Horror Week] Blood Brothers 2, reviewed by Brandi (4/5)

http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/13/13390.phtml

Brandi Weed's Summary:

It's a rare sequel that surpasses its original, but Blood Brothers 2 does so, bringing us 9 new horror-themed adventures.

I wonder how many adventures were cut? There is mention of Metamorph in the DOA2 analysis of zombie flicks, it was to be the sci-fi/horror adventure for BB2.

I don't.

I do know that for the first book, I cut one UFO scenario, which was simply terrible. The Dinosaur scenarios was in pretty bad shape when I got it, and needed substantial revision by myself. The Werewolf one (which I also have a co-author credit on) was pretty solid, but had enough editorial weirdness that I had to give it a polish as well.

My memory, however was that we commissioned a solid 13 scenarios for the first book. I'm not sure how many were commissioned for the second, or if any were cut. I don't even remember reading Metamorph in the draft stage, so it must have been cut fairly early on. Beats me, sorry.

'S all right.

Interesting about the editorial weirdness you mention in the werewolf scenario, 'cause I did find that one kind of off-kilter with the LSD subplot and all. Do you happen to remember any of the odd bits offhand? (I'm wondering if my suspicion about it having taken a cannibalism turn at some point might be more on target than I thought...)

I honestly don't remember. My main memory of it was that the author kept changing the names of the NPCs all the time so I had to iron those out. And a bunch of it was just weird. But, it's been nearly 20 years, so the details are fuzzy...
