[Book/Fiction]: [Horror Week] Baltimore, or, The Steadfast Tin Soldier and the Vampire, reviewed by Roman (4/4)

http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/13/13354.phtml

Steven Roman's Summary:

A brilliant gem of pulpy weird horror fiction, a near-perfect blend of pulp action, ghost stories, horror, fairy tale, and folklore, spiced with allusions to Melville's classic Moby Dick and an allegory of war.

hm, curious, why not a 5/5?

Or is it considered gauche to give things their highest ratings on rpg.net?

I don't know what's considered common practice or gauche on RPG.net.

To *me*, a "5" implies perfection, the best thing I've read since [X].

I love pulpy fiction and I love Mignola's work, and this story was a gem and a delight to read, but while excellent (4), it didn't seem to attain my expectations of what a (5) should be.
