While playing Cylon infiltrators might be an interesting twist, they should have also allowed for players to play characters that only exist in another character's mind, a la 'Six in the Head'/'Baltar in the Head'

Re: [RPG]: Battlestar Galactica Role Playing Game, reviewed by Evan Waters (4/4)

I just picked this up the other day, and largely agree with Evan. I would list one more major omission, though (or possibly two, depending on how you look at it):

The book states that there are quick reference charts in the appendix for the information most often needed to be referred to during a game. Presumably, this is the same stuff game companies tend to put on GM screens. I thought, no problem, I'll just photocopy them and stick them inside my customizable GM screen. However, turning to the appendix, I found no such charts.

No problem, I thought. Elsewhere in the book it states that supplemental material is available on the game's website (bsg-rpg.com). So I pointed my browser in that direction, only to find nothing on the website but a single graphic with a link to purchase the game online. No supplemental material or additional game information or errata or anything of the sort. Nothing.

I sincerely hope they plan on changing that.

Other than that, looks like a great game, and I look forward to running it, if I can only find someone around here willing to play.

Margaret Weis Productions is veeeeeeeerrrrryyyyyy ssslllloooooowww to update their website, even with promised material. I just visited and, one month after the review, none of the promised support material is present. So if they plan on fixing that, it's apparently a long-range plan.

Too bad, too. This is a pretty good game, and if you don't like the system it's easily converted to other systems, Unisystem and Savage Worlds especially.

I know this review is rather old but there is a forum here that has lots of fan-made ships and stuff for BSG, serenity, and a couple other games by MWP

There is also some interesting 'bonus' material on their new home page.
