Re: [RPG]: Changeling: The Lost, reviewed by Shining Dragon (3/3)
Thanks for the review, Dean!
What sorts of adversaries does the book include?

Nice review! It's also nice to see that some reviewers are still sticking to the "3 = Average" scoring system. It never ceases to amaze me the number of products here that achieve extremely high scores.

Ash
Really? I was actually surprised by the "Style = 3" rating. The reviewer said it's "an enjoyable read" and that he "loved" the appearance. How does that warrant only a 3 in style?
Also, saying that it's "a game I want to play" would seem to me a positive review warranting at least a 4 (good) instead of 3 (average).

I was wondering about that, too. The rating didn't match the descriptions he gave.
Personally, if I were to do a number of reviews (as I plan to do), I suspect my average will be above 3. I'm more likely to review games that I like and enjoy than ones that I don't. Now, if I were just given a stack of stuff to review...that would be different.

Re: [RPG]: Changeling: The Lost, reviewed by Shining Dragon (3/3)
Exactly. Given the time and effort it takes to do a good review, it helps to be motivated by a game that you really love (4's and 5's) and those that you really hate (1's and 2's). Unless I'm given a review copy, I'm very unlikely to do a lengthy review (versus a simple forum post) for an average product I'm indifferent about (3's).
Re: [RPG]: Changeling: The Lost, reviewed by Shining Dragon (3/3)
I am surprised at the rating. I thought I had put it higher (5 Style / 4 Substance) but I do admit that I had problems with my internets at the time and attempted to post it two or three times - I think I must have missed changing the rating.
I wonder who I have to talk to - I'll post over to the Trouble Tickets.

A few: one True Fae, an exiled Fae and one or two Hobgoblins (e.g. Hedge Beast) - basically your typical sparse spread you expect from a White Wolf game. Not surprising considering Autumn Nightmares is the antagonist book for the line.
