Abandoned by their country and alone in their fight, these patriots will sacrifice their sanity and their lives to protect humanity from unimaginable threats. They are Delta Green.

Hey! Great review. So for someone that has the original Delta Green, are there any changes except for the addition of d20 stats? You mention that everything's still all '90'sey but have they changed/added anything else?

I love Delta Green, but recently have been reading the Laundry series by Charles Stross, which takes the same material from a decidedly different POV. Was wondering if anyone had thought of adapting THE ATROCITY ARCHIVES or THE JENNIFER MORGUE to CoC.
Oddly enough, Stross has quite the RPG background; he apparently created and submitted the Githyanki and Githzerai to White Dwarf back in the day.

Excellent job, Chris!
There is one aspect of the game that I'd have included (and will include in my own review), but it would have required spoiler text, which I know you refuse to use.
I'm speaking, of course, about...
...the nature of the Greys.

Thanks, Dan!
Yep, I decided to leave that portion out of my review, since I already discussed the evolution of the Mythos. It was definitely my favorite part of the book.
I can't wait to hear what you think about the game!

Re: The bad of being "locked in the 90's"
I wouldn't so much call this "bad" or an oversight... that's the setting. It has become a period piece, just like the more classic CoC stuff is set in the 20's or whatnot.
DG could probably stand some updates or another book, though. Many people enjoy playing in the "today" setting. Truth be told, not a lot has changed that would need to be statted out in the past 10 years and the organizational structure of things can shift fairly stagnant without much harm, I'd think.
YMMV

Yes, it is nothing more than a reprint with some clutter added to it, for those who 1) aren't interested in d20 and 2) have the original book already.
This, of course, doesn't lessen the utility of the book itself. I'm glad its back in circulation (DG is a supreme game) - I can imagine the original book to be rather difficult to get hold of nowadays...
