[Board/Tactical Game]: Memoir '44: Air Pack, reviewed by ShannonA (5/5)

http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/13/13582.phtml

Shannon Appelcline's Summary:

A superb expansion for Memoir '44 that revises all the scenarios and expands many components into a near second-edition of the game.

Nice review - I love memoir, but don't have any of the expansions. Do you still need the other expansions to play the expansion scenarios or can you get by with the wrong army colours and cards/tiles in this expansion?

I'm pretty sure you could get by.

The rules for everything are on the cards. The biggest problem would be, in some cases, not having the tiles listed by the scenarios, but you could either just fall back to standards you do have or use some of the desert/snow terrain included in the expansion to mark up the "different" terrain.

This is an exceptional expansion. With the exception of the lackluster Terrain Pack which failed to utilize the potential of the rules, every Memoir '44 pack goes a way towards reinventing the game and giving each expansion a new and unique feel. The Air Pack goes even further and adds an entire new level to each of the previous expansions.
