"28/January/2008 - Black Industries Announcement
Black Industries regret to announce that Dark Heresy: Disciples of the Dark Gods out in September will be the final product to be released from Black Industries.
Kevin Rountree General Manager of BL Publishing said ‘As a result of the continued and impressive success of our core novels business, which we have built around 40K and Warhammer, we have decided to focus all of our efforts on growing this part of our business. Black Industries has seen fantastic success, most recently with Talisman and Dark Heresy. This change does not take away from that achievement rather it allows BL Publishing to focus on producing the best novels we can. This is a purely commercial decision and will enable us to carry on the huge growth that we have recently been experiencing with our novels’
For the time being Black Industries will continue to post articles in support of the products on their official website, which is a fantastic resource for scenarios and gaming tools for GM’s and players alike."
This.... really sucks One would think that after the amazing success of Dark Heresy, they would want to continue that line and release the other books.
All I can hope for at this point is that some of the articles they release are some additional bits to add some of the Rogue Trader.

You've no idea how pissed off I am about this (or if you do, yay!)
I've not been happy with the way GW has been going for some time now and this is the cherry on the cake, DH is released and sells out in record time and this is the reward the poor sods get
No Rogue Trader, no Deathwatch? Instead printing even more asstastic novels?
I'm pissed

Am I reading this right in that they're saying "No more WFRP and Warhammer 40k books."???
I strongly suspect that before the day ends -- hell, probably within the hour -- BL will have multiple offers from companies looking to license both games.

WTF? BI releases an RPG that A)Ive been waiting for for twenty years, B) is released with tremendous success (I don't remember the last RPG that sold out completely on pre-orders alone), and C) is kick ass and they want to drop it already?
I am boggled. First the Challenger explodes on my birthday and now this...
I hope someone else (GW directly?) picks up the RPG line and continues...Id hate to see RT and Deathwatch fall by the wayside after my tremendous pleasure with DH.
Ya know, its this kind of stuff that makes planets secede from the Imperium...
