[RPG]: HeroQuest: Roleplaying in Glorantha, reviewed by Lev Lafayette (3/4)

http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/13/13647.phtml

Lev Lafayette's Summary:

A very good narrativist system based on conflict-resolution mechanics and set in the extremely cool world of Glorantha. A reasonable product, but could do with some editing improvements in future editions.

Somehow I forgot to mention how absolutely brilliant this game is for running via PBeM.

Nice review. I have never played HQ, although I was a big fan of RuneQuest many many (many!) years ago. I like the sound of the HQ system though, particularly its flexibility.

The idea of simple contests being used when you want to move the plot along and then extended ones for the important dramatic bits is great, and I like what I have seen of the character generation too.

I might just give it a go.
