Blood of Orlanth has all the hallmarks of a classic Gloranthan saga; a conflict driven by colliding world views rather than simplistic “good” versus “evil,” colorful and believable characters, attention to the details of life in pre-industrial cultures, and the awesome power of myth just behind the curtain of the world. It’s got gods, spirits, freedom fighters, fanatics, broo, and yes—damnit—ducks. Hanrahan hasn’t missed a beat.

Just wanted to say, I have written several more reviews than listed here, including reviews for "Magic of Glorantha," "Glorantha: the Second Age," "HeroQuest," and many, many others.

Just wanted to say thanks for the review. For some reason since the forum changed review comment formats, we don't seem to see many comments any more, but it was very useful to me and i'd likle to acknowledge your effort in writing it.

I don't mind. Usually my reviews start more arguments than anything else! Thanks so much for your kind post, though. It really is appreciated.

Andrew,
I just wanted to thank you for all your reviews. I've been a Gloranthan fan for many years. I often give up on it, because I don't have the devotion of those who have made it a livelong hobby. Mongoose's new system is tempting me to consider getting back into it- but I'm afraid of getting burned again, because I've never been happy with the support that any of rules systems. That is, whatever company that writes a system has never followed up with fleshing out a 'playable' rpg campaign setting.
I'm starting to have hope, though I haven't bought anything yet.
I'm really looking forward to your reviews of the Cult Books. If you can strong vouch for those, it might tip me over into buying. I'm hoping that the Cult books will work well with the Magic of Glorantha book.
Here's hoping to reading another of your reviews soon.
