Joe,
I wouldn't have known you aren't a native English-speaker based upon this review if you hadn't told me. (You may have said so before, but if so, I'd forgotten.) You did a great job reviewing a product about which I've always been mildly curious -- mildly, because I don't play RIFTS and would be extremely unlikely to buy it.
One question, though: what does the planet actually look like? Does it look like a "normal" planet, or is it obviously a freakish giant living organism?
Thanks!

The planet has many alien features: there is no surface water, no native flora and fauna (there's some which came from other worlds), the sky is yellow... but it has hills, mountains and cities, so a casual observer may think that is a "normal" planet.

Nice review Joe. Like Dan, I was always mildly curious about this project, mostly because I loved the Grimjack comic from the 80s that Truman and Henry were both involved with.
Best,
Lee

Its been a while since I've looked at my copy, but I seem to remember it talking about the surface being like a leathery hide, slightly warm to the touch. I also remember there was a lot of worms and parasites. One of the holy abilities was to cause shallow holes to appear in the planet's surface and fill with drinkable water or edible worms/maggots.
Wormwood is a freaky setting, but very cool. One thing they added was the fact that items specifically for and from wormwood would rot and decay if they left the planet. Presumably this was to prevent a group going there, loading up with bio-organisms (which pretty much are living super powers akin to the Atlantis bio-wizardry, but not as damaging to the character) and MDC resin weapons and then returning to Chi-Town and kicking ass.
