[3:16] What color is your MandelBrite armor?

40K fans no doubt know all about this site already, but for the rest of us, check out The Bolter & Chainsword - Space Marine Painter.

It's kinda like Hero Machine, or Fábrica de Heróis (Criar!!!), but the armor template is already "drawn", you just get to color it.

There's a tutorial here, but it's pretty easy to grok without it.

I prefer a glossy black. With silvered skull emblems.

I mean, we're talking galactic genocide here, so we might as well copy the snazzy looking uniforms of certain unsavoury military organisations.

I've sorta pictured it with either a feldgrau/OD base and camo added as needed with spray paint (And the troopers thus getting shouted at for defacing their armor), or painted up in garish colors like race cars, with sponsor stickers for corporations back on Mother Terra stuck on every available inch.

I see it as variable camouflage patterns that attempt - but never quite work - in whatever environment the marines are in. Or, alternatively, it has 9 settings, and it picks on based on some seriously weak heuristics after evaluating the environment.

"Trooper, why is your armor white? We are in the jungle."

"Sorry, Sarge. Armor picked it. I can't get it to change."

"Trooper, you just earned yourself latrine duty."

"Sir, do I have permission to engage party configuration?"

"Party hardy, trooper."

Brilliant.
I'm using that in the future, consider it stolen!
