[Board/Tactical Game]: War For Edadh, reviewed by AlanB (4/5)

http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/14/14219.phtml

Alan Bundock's Summary:

In a nutshell, War For Edađh is a fantastic strategy card game with the classic, easy to learn but hard to master combination guaranteed to provide hours of fun. It has a lot of depth and massive promise to go further still with planned future releases. It is held back from being an instant classic only by a few niggling issues.

Thanks Alan.

I rarely enjoy first-time reviews, but I found yours to be fairly compelling. I'd certainly be interested in reading Shannon's review if he does one, to compare.

What's with the wierd "d" in Edadh? Is that part of your pronounciation diatribe?

Well thank you, it wasn't supposed to be a big review when I started but once I got going I found I had a few things to say. And once I was done it had a couple of rounds of edits to make it more readable.

The odd d is I'm assuming the reason "Edadh" is pronounced "Ed-ath".

There are actually quite a few reviews for the game, including a video review by Tom Vasel of thedicetower, look here for excerpts and links:

wfe reviews

Obviously not a Shannon review but a couple of additional peoples take on the game might be of interest.

Also I should probably have mentioned the company website has a little demo pack you download and print off, and step by step tutorial so folks can get a taste of the game for free here.
