I have just down loaded the rules for the Druchii in the Warmaster world. I am a happy bastard, I have alread started my Orcish horde on that small scale, now it is time to mirror my other primary force from War Hammer, the Druchii. Ah, to begin sorting through the rules.
Hoo, one of the things I noticed right away, was the insanely easy army transport of this game.
I've never been all that excited about the Dark Elves in Warmaster. The infantry is all right, though the Witch Elves will die quickly. Cavalry is quite standard, nothing exciting here.
The most interesting thing about the army list is the doubleshoot at 15cm you'll get with crossbowmen and dark riders, plus the spell lost. I haven't played a game against Dark Elfs in Warmaster yet, but I guess "Beast Master" and "Dominion" will be quite devatating.
Me, I'm all over the Skaven list - it's a nice twist to the usual for Warmaster, and I hope I'll be facing a Skaven army sometimes soon.
BTW - is the downloadable .pdf still the trial DE list, or is it the official list from the 2003 Annual?

And just your luck I happen to have the annual with the Bretonnian army in it, as well as Kislev and Vampire Counts, oh, and those nasty, nasty Lizardmen. 'lig imagine huge cliff faces with a one stand wide path up, having to take the high ground. A full fledged castle atop a bluff, ohhh that would be so cool. I just see terrain in Warmaster being way cooler and more interesting.

I think so too. Why settle for a house or two when you can put a whole castle on the table?
Plus, the scale of Warmaster just appeals to me more too. I like WFB, but it's always felt weird to have big battles be 28mm scale, which I've always seen as being more suitable for skirmish games.

Immagine larger games, not only the castles but walled towns around it! A town of houses with roads and several critical bridges, outer and inner defenses, ohhhh, my eyes are all shiney with the possibilities.
