38) Project Medusa

The project was designed to create light patterns or better yet infralight to incapacitate a subject. To a point, the project was successful. The impulses can temporarily stun a subject. The project did not have the full stop ability, so it was officially canceled.

However, the impulse can also leave "imprinted" information. These subconcious patterns on a single exposure are little to nothing. However, repeated exposures... can generate subconcious hypnotic commands. It was hard to generate these effects given the late 80s early 90s time frame. Technology has advanced: higher resolution screens and LEDs can generate these impulses. Things that were beyond experimental, back in the day, are now on the shelves of your local T-mart.

39) Now hypno learning - Project Socrates is still in play. Straight knowledge is easy to transfer. Most people can barely handle a small transference. It is a small percentage of the population that can take a vast download. (Psychotic issues can result, increasing in possiblity and intensity based on the size of the download. ) That same small percentage can learn physical skills and muscle memory with a projection. (40) The Intersect project is an splinter expression on this technology. They hope to find immediate and direct application for the theoretical work done by Socrates.

41) Project Prometheus creates temporary people with skills by an intersect level transfer. They have skills and personalities that are temporarily inserted... triggered... and then forgotten. This trigger issue has never been as successful as it could be. It is best done at point of insertion... a personality triggered... then erased after the mission. One sub project, Project Household, is creating "Actives" with passive personalities which could then have inserted new personalities.

42) One of the scientists who left early took some of the imprint technology and is working on it for the advertising agencies and a marketing cabal. He can make images that manipulate the emotions of those that watch it... attraction. Models, which have to be computer generated, can manipulate the heartstrings of a viewer. They can make certain ideas more attractive. Beyond the buying of our product, they want to create a stable progressive future that their corporations will florish in.

This so called Project Looker is infiltrated by the Prometheus, just to make sure the science can be adopted and to stop if it no longer follows the country's best interests.

43) Project Memphis, once known as Mirror Project 86

Utilizing some technology picked up from a Mirror Project 86 -Project Medusa (and fed updated information from Socrates) they are attempting to perform superior past life regression. Originally they came to the same conclusion, that the stunning aspect fails. However, they were doing memory retrieval work from dreams, as a side effect of the image imprints. This lead them to the past life aspects. This was an interesting new application that Socrates was hoping for.

The ability to recall memories of the past is important and would be useful in both a historical and security perspective. The ability to recall skills of the past could be even more important. Memphis adds a nootropic drug cocktail to "the sequence" - the imprinted images that seem to unlock memories of the past (mostly pushing the belief that this is possible and that people are more than one person.) Some of the experiments performed here have some significant and cultural paradigm changing results. IF the world knew, how they viewed life, death, and time would completely change.

This mirror project was allowed to continue because Project Medusa had to be seen as "a dead technology" and had not been worked on for the last twenty years. Originally this was an experiment to see if they could find a new way to do things. By infiltrating the project any new leads could be passed to Socrates (or another descendent project as appropriate). The research team stumbled over a startling new applications, thus Mirror 86 was closed. Then those researchers and the data were offuscated and secretly reattached to project Memphis.

The Nootropic Drug cocktail has been refined and a similar chemical set is used by Project Promethius.

Now the project seems to be receiving infiltration attempts by an outside organization. This civilian organization, this MSA, should not know about the project... but somehow they do. Someone said that they might of caught information from an early researcher who died a few years ago, however most think it was just a loose lip issue from one of the researchers on a board dealing with reincarnation.


95) Metempsychosis Study Alliance

For those that look into it, the membership in the MSA comes in two flavors: Those who just believe they are reincarnated and the small minority that want to study the idea. Mostly the MSA is considered a fringe science joke. It is mostly a group of people who are publically willing to say that they remember a past life. Of course, many think they are Cleopatra or Neopoleon. Still they are true believers.

The scientific types of the MSA interview the other members and try to make sense of both the timing and the metaphysics of it all. Some use hypnosis and some strange contraptions to help "recover past memories" from the soul. It is mostly harmless psuedo science.

The MSA is a cover of course. The Core are a group of transdimentional travellers who understand that the soul moves from world to world in advancement. They are looking for specific souls, ones that have information they want. They are looking for those precious few. Once they identify them, they will stop at nothing to collect that soul... extract the information using their own world's techniques and in some cases harness the power of that specific transmigratory soul for their own power and wealth in the greater Society.

44) Project DaVinci

The project DaVinci was inspired by Gibon's novel Mona Lisa Overdrive. (As was the name) It is an attempt to create a more effective virtual reality interface and eventually a mind to mind interface.

The process starts with a simstim technology. Other sensory data is encoded into the virtual image the recipient sees in the goggles (which are a more refined version of the occulous rift.. which looks more like ski goggles). Thus they see any sensory data like smell, touch, motion, and so on. A trained recepient gets a lot of information from their vision. Any normal person viewing this material gets a fraction of it.

The VR action data is determined from a vr suit (which is a scuba suit with electrodes that pick up muscle actions). This same sensory and response technology is being used in advanced prosthetics.

The suit and the goggles are plugged into The Deck, the system that becomes personalized (with a small learning AI) helping with the interface... where The System is a larger computer system doing most of the work.

The body is kept still by "plastic" a very mild neurotoxin that makes voluntary movement more difficult (a gift from the CIA). The virtual is made more "realistic" by the application of The Sauce. The Sauce is a combination of nootropics and a mild Hallucinogen and Dissociative drug cocktail. After three years, they are very close to a perfect formulation of Sauce (as there are three formulas based on sensory-personality types coded Orange, Green, and Purple). These drugs are applied via Derms (a patch with a DMSO carrier) - a specialty subtech refined by the project.

After a person has run through the questionaire and some initial testing to determine their orange/ green/ purple status, they need to go through The corridor. The corridor is the series of training scenarios where the subject is trained on how The System "feels". (They and Their Deck and learning how to take in and process the information.) After a few time through the dozen scenarios, a person begins to experience them and other stimulation processed through the system as "being there".

The project is learning what they can do with virtual reality. The "Runners" are now also learning new physical skills via their virtuality.

Phase 1 is becoming finalized, as they can get regular results. Phase 2 is begining. (And a sub group is doing Phase 1B)

Phase 2 - network access - The existing trained Subjects (People keep trying to call them Runners or Virtualnauts) and Project Programmers are creating a new Visual Basic, the begining of HSIML. This allows them to perceive the computers in the network as a virtual reality of sorts. By shifting it to a human accessible metaphor, Humans will be able to quickly and innately interact with the machines. Soon using these tools, they will be able to interact with any computer with just their nervous system and a system deck.

Phase 1B is the creation of a brain map sensor worn as a crown (looking a lot like a bike helment). This will replace the bulky sensor suit and all those cables. It may require a Brain MRI of a virtual subject before it is possible. 1B makes 1C possible, how to get sensory data OUT OF a human mind and into the computer.

The CIA has dropped some of its funding of the project as you will not be able to just randomly drop people into VR (to interrogate and hold them). However, Phase 2 has a lot of promise. The NSA is now interested.


**Yes, the Socretes Council is overseeing many of these sub projects. This one was proposed by a council member who had access to some of the other project's technical data. He put together the basics on how to encode the sensory information using socretes and intercept techologies and memphis drug work. These two together, and some new technical advances in other fields, made this possible. The pieces are now in place... now we just need to go.

45) Project Nisean

Named for Posidon and horses, this project deals with the creating of tidal waves. Project Seal is listed as defunct. Upon reviewing the technology, it provided no real success. Still people believe that it is still a viable concept.

In 1998 it was reviewed and Project Nisean was set up. Geo-Engineering technology originally developed and implemented at HAARP (and from Russian Mercury Project), when combined with different kind of containment scheme, might be able to generate a wave directly or trigger a seismic event. (An offshoot of the project was to create bunker busters, that would take out underground or cave facilities.)

All that was needed was a different kind of bomb. It would be like an electromagnetic emp bomb, but modified for certain wavelengths.

It took them nearly 18 years, but they managed it. It takes a dual bomb system. One to charge the water. The second to move it. Both are like the EMP bombs. The system could cause seismic activity too. The seismic tests were cancelled.

Now anywhere in the world could have a tidal wave of record proportions.


Of course this pales in comparison to the damage HAARP could do when switched to geo-engineering mode, but it is still an impressive effect. Part of the project wants to continue on, to use the basic technology to neutralize various earthquakes or tidal waves (trickier on the timing). The same technology could be used for terraforming mars, especially if the seismic side effect comes about. .

46) Project Bathurst

This project is named after Benjamin Bathurst, a British Diplomat, whos main claim to fame is his "disappearance" as he was walking around a carriage. (The real events are different from the events that have been the grist for any number of science fiction stories). Still enough people disappear or reappear in nearly inexplicable circumstances, as tales and videos of teleporting /time travelling people can attest, that this phenomena is real. This team, a joint NATO venture between US and UK centered in a New Jersey Business Park under the name "Gateway Electrical" has been spending the last 60 years looking into the phenomena. They sift through journals, do the occasional experiment, monitor experiments done elsewhere, read redacted files from other projects, and comb the internet and other media for clues as to how this occurs and how they can duplicate it. The team of thirty, that includes the two pairs of field investigators, has spent several careers to little (actually no) success.

47) Project Midnight Oil

The stated goal of this research project that will allow soldiers to be awake and active for 24 hours or more while on a controllable drug cocktail, for up to seven days (with minimal side effect while on it or when one gets off it). This project has been going on since 1955. Its funding has ebbed and flowed with the times. In the late 90s real progress was made in creating a drug delivery system mounted on the shoulder (the basic tech became the implanted glucometer). They have dredged up several drug cocktails used in the past to be retested.

The best the project has been able to do is 72 hours before impairment has begun (and unusual behavior). While designed for pilots and missile silo operators, it is now of interest to NASA, especially NASA Project --REDACTED--


The project is currently on a mole hunt. The name of the project and what it's goal was was used in a popular TV show. The leak needs to be found.

48) Project Slice

Project Slice is another "super soldier" project. It has been active and shut down a number of times over its thirty five year history. The key is that it is utilizing not a technology, not directly anyways, but a "paraviral life form" of unknown origin. A pathogen of some kind that infects the blood. It naturally enhances all those infected, but it also limits them. Also the infection seems to have no cure. The idea is to utilize some neutered version of the life form to enhance a solider, but only limit their enhancement to when they are either taking product or by some means of control.

So far the project has had great successes and some spectacular failure. The last time this project was open, it created two teams of spec-ops that were using ichor (the general name used for product). They had 28 missions in which they enhanced. They grew better over time. However, then something went wrong and the soldiers no longer needed ichor. Without a control mechanism in place, the soldiers went on a rampage killing everyone on the project's side of the base and a few MPs on the otherside of the base. One solider allegedly killed off all the others.

There is a Project Claw team tasked with hunting him down.

We are starting the project again. The results are so promising that it has to be attempted.

The internet was just a side effect. The Anger Research Projection Amplifier (yes, that's what ARPA actually stands for) was designed to extract liquified anger and hate, and turn it into one of the world's most explosive chemical compounds. Based on research found in Nazi bunkers, the ARPA project was incredibly successful. Now, the Defense Department just needed a way to create a lot of blind rage and hatred.

Fox News comment sections, radfem, men's rights activists, spoilers on nerd forums... All of it is just a way for the DoD to generate rage, which is collected by phone lines.

And then they invented smart phones...

50) Project Blanket

The Project was to generate a sombulastic weapon, a beam that would cause the target to sleep. It produced success in the late 80s. The weaponized version was a failure. It could not make a fully awake or engaged person asleep. The grenade version did not last long enough to effective. The emmitter was a 360 event, with the beam being unblockable by almost all materials (diminishable by material and range) and required a column of equipment. Research was continued as a sleep aid for healing/ medical purposes. Induced comas or relaxation before performance (soldiers) was the goal of the project.

The project was cancelled as everyone in the range of the field feel asleep. It worked well, but everyone in the field synched their dreams. Everyone was experiencing a shared dream. This included the attendent who day dreamed (then fell asleep due to the fied effect). This was an exciting communication mode and various options were available. Until the dreams attraced the attention of some entity. The dreams turned dark and the personalities of the people involved were changed. Three deaths and a psychotic episode were blaimed on the entity. The project was shut down.

Project Spectre has been given this data. Perhaps they can find a shield against this entity.

51) Project Pluto

Unknown to all, the US has several squadrons of these damned things scattered across multiple island bases in the Pacific. They're not a deterrent force -- that's why they're so secret. They are a means of depopulating Asia if the national command authority deems it necessary.
