Hell, that's the kind of numbers they only get with reality shows.

9-1-1 looks pretty good too. Really wish the next episode was sometime this week instead of next.

Damn, I'd wanted to give New Amsterdam a look since I'm a sucker for medical dramas and liked the lead in The Blacklist. That's what I get for not paying attention.

I thought we'd already known this was the final Gotham and iZombie seasons?

New Amsterdam was interesting, but a bit flawed. At this point, it comes across as a bit too much of a pat fix-it fantasy, where complicated problems can be easily fixed by simple, decisive action, to the point where there seems to have been no reason for those problems in the first place, except that the previous administration was too lazy/corrupt/apathetic.

Also, they seem to have stretched things a bit thin by having too many core cast members, spread over too many theaters of operation. Instead of focusing on one or two wards, it feels like they're trying to tell the story of the whole hospital. Which is... ambitious...

Well, there is a tendency for hospital shows to be vulnerable to character sprawl; you can pretty much see Shondra having to actively prune back Grey's Anatomy every year. But the rest is unfortunate.

Not a bad start for The Gifted, at least. More than double last season's admittedly-low average. I wonder if they can sustain that at all.

I think that's the worst opening for NCIS NOLA yet, and may be an early sign that their problems from the end of last season might be hanging about.
