To be honest although I heve been playing lately i have not followed any threads about D20 or kept up with the news. In the last week i've started surfing the board again and I see a few threads mention SAGA as something new. Anyone got a brief summary of what this is?

Cheers in advance.

SAGA was a cool homebrew RPG system from the early 90's, and also the name of the system used by "Dragonlance Fifth Age" and "Marvel Superheroes Adventure Game" back in late 90's. None of them have anything in common with the d20 System.

Anyway, the next version of Star Wars RPG is called "Star Wars RPG Saga Edition", and people have a tendancy to call it "Saga" (not spelled in capitals), hence the possible confusion.
The website has lots of information : http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=starwars/article/rpgsagaed

Again cheers. I remember the Dragonlance one, that was with the card system iirc, that was what was nedging my memory with familiarity of the name.
