Lily Fairchild, the Eternal Wunderkind
"When I said I can hack it in my sleep, did you think I was joking?"

High Concept: Cybernized Hacker
Trouble: Growing Up Is For Suckers
Phase 1: They Should Have Built It Better
Phase 2: Dirty Laundry on Everyone
Phase 3: TBA
Skills:
Technology(Craft) +4
Physique, Will +3
Science(Lore), Investigate, Notice +2
Contacts, Drive, Resources, Shoot +1
Stunts:
Embedded Multitools: You don’t ever have to spend a fate point to declare that you have the proper tools for a particular job using Technology, even in extreme situations (like being imprisoned and separated from all your stuff).

Skill Downloads: You can spend a fate point to use Technology in place of any other skill for one roll or exchange, provided there's an Internet connection and enough time to download the relevant files.

The Drone Queen (Mega): When vying for control of an electronic or digital system, you always succeed, but at a cost.

Background:
Lily Fairchild is a transgirl, wunderkind and a (mostly) reformed black hat hacker. When she was twelve years old, she got in deep with the wrong crowd and was fatally wounded in a terrorist attack by the anti-intellectual extremist group Human First. Her Mother, then CEO of the megacorp Fairchild Fabrication, pulled all the strings and threw all the money at the problem, and got her daughter's brain put into an experimental android. Her Mom had since been threw out of the company her family founded by the board of directors, but Lily got to keep her cybernized body and kept tinkering with it to add more functions. She was finally caught red-handed when she tried to hack the Department of Defense to get the blueprints of space fighters for her bedroom walls, and was given the choice of either working off her sentence by assisting the police or facing charges of treason. Obviously, she chose the former.

Name: Andrew Freeman
High Concept: Suave Crisis Negotiator
Trouble: Only Human After All
Aspect: Always The Good Cop
Aspect: Still Room For Old Fashioned Police Work

Skills:
Rapport +4
Decieve, Empathy +3
Resources, Shoot, Will +2
Athletics, Drive, Investigate, Notice, +1

Stunts:
Best Foot Forward - 2x Per Episode upgrade a boost created by Rapport to a scene aspect with a free invoke.
Mind Games - Deceive instead of Provoke for mental attacks as long as you include a clever lie.
Nose for Trouble - Empathy instead of Notice for initiative as long as you've had time to observe or speak to those involved before combat.

Senior Detective Andrew Freeman is the only non-augmented member of the team, but as far as he's concerned that doesn't leave him any less capable of doing his job. His special training as a crisis negotiator leaves him not only well suited to dealing with the public and attempting to deescalate potential violent situations, but also to dealing with the... strong personalities and special requirements of his teammates.

Alexandra "Lex" Vasquez

"Look, stupid, I just punched out your car. Put the gun down and your hands up while I still think you're funny."

Aspects
High Concept - Reconstructed Hardcase
Trouble - Obsessive Workaholic
Anger Is a Clean Burning Fuel

Skills
+4 - Physique
+3 - Shoot, Will
+2 - Athletics, Fight, Notice
+1 - Burglary, Investigate, Provoke, Stealth

Stunts
Body Language Reader - You can use Notice in place of Empathy to learn the aspects of a target through observation.
Hard Boiled - You can choose to ignore a mild or moderate consequence for the duration of the scene. It can’t be compelled against you or invoked by your enemies. At the end of the scene it comes back worse, though; if it was a mild consequence it becomes a moderate consequence, and if it was already moderate, it becomes severe.
Covert Military Engineering (MEGA) - Souped-up prosthetic arms give you Weapon: 2 with strength-based attacks; armored skin and reinforced skeleton make you bulletproof (but at a cost); UV-to-IR broad spectrum cyberoptics allow your Notice skill to work unimpeded by visual impairments like darkness, smoke or light cover (but at a cost).

Background
She used to be a regular detective. During a raid on a suspected human trafficking operation Lex saved the lives of two fellow officers from an incendiary booby trap, but in the process took the brunt of the explosion and the resulting fire herself. Miraculously, the paramedics managed to scrape together enough of her to hook up to life support. She spent months in a coma while her superiors sorted the paperwork, weighed their options and made arrangements. Finally, in consideration of her outstanding performance and dedication, they had her woken up just long enough to offer her a choice: she could retire now with full benefits and medical compensation, for what good that would do to a bedridden torso... or she could volunteer to receive a full suite of experimental prostheses and bionic enhancements and rejoin the force as part of a newly established special unit.

No surprise, she's back on the job. Or at least some of her. Her eyes and both arms are prosthetic replacements, packed full of state-of-the-art optics and the heaviest actuators her reinforced skeleton can withstand. Her vital organs are mostly original, kept somewhat intact by her body armor, save for a boatload of synthetic lung tissue. Her skin is entirely synthetic; the extent and severity of her burns were such that the doctors thought it better to just replace it all rather than try to save the few patches left, which also allowed them to interlace it with a low-profile reactive armor material. She doesn't get bruises anymore, the dilatant-filled fullerene mesh just shows through where it gets hardened by impacts and breaks through the ablative surface layer.

Lex was always quite driven in her job, but increasingly the job seems to be all there is to her. She spends her free time training, studying, working on her bionics... or just working. There's less and less time for the few close friends and family she ever had, save for her brother who forcefully stays in contact. Her apartment is a storage unit with amenities. None of this is healthy, of course, but she was always a stoic hard-ass to begin with and keeps passing psych eval because whatever issues she's not dealing with, it doesn't seem to affect her judgement or performance on duty... so far...

Question: does my bulletproof hold against a minigun? I guess the reasonable place to draw the line would be at weapons built to damage vehicles and buildings rather than people...

And also, did you decide what equipment rules to use? I think ammo tracks would be a nice middle ground, and allow differentiating full auto weapons like miniguns, too.

Yup, we are using Weapon and Armor Ratings and Ammo Tracks. But I reserve the right to change my mind.

Your bulletproof is currently Rating 2 and The Freaking Mini-Gun is Rating 4 it can reach all zones and really doesn't have any ammo limits.

The automatic weapons are rating 3 and can reach zones close near and far. They get +1 to Stress with their Cop Killer Rounds.

wormmonda wormmonda Is Lilly actively scanning for smart links? I'm not going to make you roll every time but an indication that she is looking for targets will let me know if I should say yes or no.

Also did everyone want to customize the van? It would have a High Concept, Trouble and Aspect, it also would have one +2 Skill shift and two +1 Skill shifts.

Since we started in media res we're not going to do initiative.

Okay cool. I'll make a quick ruling that Lilly is Actively Scanning when she's in the field. This gives her +2 to discover open networks and it allows her detect hidden networks. This only works at near and close range
