Knightmare charged forward, sweeping to the southern portion of the battlefield. The Kaiju weren't in melee engagement range yet, but he would be ready to respond with either a barrage of missiles or a sudden burst forward depending on how they moved.

OOC: Dakkadakka@Webber 2: 3#1d20+2d6k1+2 8 13 17 Hits, I assume?

BOOM@Webber 2: 1d20+2-1d6k1 21

Pity that crits don't do much for a weapon with fixed damage, such as autocannons, but Webber 2 has to test Engineering or be crippled.

Damage

OOC:
If those are three attacks, then no, only 13 and 17 hit, 8 fails. What's the damage? Also, the link to the second attack's damage is not working for me, can you check it?

Damage@Webber 2: 3d3+6 11

The first hit did 6 (3+3 from Hunter Lock) the next two did 1 each, and the autogun did a flat 3 as it always does.

Einherjar boosts forward, invisibly soaring over the river and Braces upon landing. He remains clearly visible after appearing, standing in defiance of the oncoming creatures as they swarm towards the mech.

"I'll hold them here!" Harvey's grin is almost audible through the comms (along with the onslaught of guitar and drums)as he waits for the enemy to make contact with the traps.

OOC: Boosting and moving to get in range, then Bracing to lure them in. Harvey likely looks like a choice target out front like that with a river at his back.

Showdown, Turn 2

The vultures surge forward. Unlike the previous batch from the damn, these don't turn invisible. They do, however, move faster than any previous iteration you've seen before. Both swarms and webbers follow, albeit at a more sedate pace, trying to take advantage of the terrain to gain whatever cover they can.
It's only when the spiners stop, and dig their claws deep into the ground, that your sensors begin spiking with energy readings, shortly before twin beams of pure energy erupt from their backs.

OOC:
Harvey takes 6 energy damage, the second beam misses.
Vultures are flying.
Lastly, check your ranges before firing. Both team of soldiers have a range of 10. H HardKore Keltoid both of your attacks where out of range on the past turn (Webber #2 was at 27 range)

Kingsley charged forward, engaging the vultures that rushed forward. His pike swung in a broad circle, scything down the two closes.

OOC: Attack: 1d20+1d6+5 27
Yea, those two vultures by Kingsley are dead thanks to the wide arc cleave ability. I'll move them aside.

OOC: Moving 4 spaces out of cover, popping off a barrage at Webber 2, then flitting back into cover.

Sprinkle the mechanized shots about amongst the incoming vultures, move up the scouts.

Dakkadakka@Webber 2: 3#1d20+2d6k1+2 22 6 24
BOOM@Webber 2: 1d20+2-1d6k1 4

Headshot and legshot. It has to make two hull checks at -1 Difficulty, or be immobilized and/or Impared and take +4 Bonus Damage.

Damage@Webber 2: 4d3k2+3 9 9, or maybe 13!

Passing a die to Harvey

"Harvey, get clear, you have their attention!"

Adrastia flits in with long-limbed strides, and brings the three machineguns replacing its left hand to bear upon the webber. Before the bullets even slam into their target - which they do with precision and something approaching grace - the mech's crouched behind an outcropping again, tense and waiting.

"Mechanized, airburst shells, fire on my mark!

The music over Harvey's comms continues unabated as Harvey gives Abigail the affirmative. "Clearing out now!"

Einherjar shimmers from view, then appears between the nearest vultures as a wave of flames engulf one and just catches the swarm behind it. The vulture is unscathed and ducks a swipe of Einherjar's burning sword. The other Vulture does not fare as well, impaled upon his Shock Knife. Another blast of flames fails to harm the Vulture (yet scorches the swarm) as Einherjar overcharges and begins building heat. The mech fades from view momentarily as it boosts across the river.

OOC: Frying the Vulture: 1d20+3 6Miss
Leadership die: 1d6 3 Still a miss...

Frying Swarm 1: 1d20+3 12 Hit? Burn 4+2E+1 heat

Sword swing at Vulture: 1d20+4-1d6 2 Miss

Shock knife at other Vulture: 1d20+4 15 Hit! (1heat self)

Overcharging!(1 heat)
Overcharge Flamethrower!: 1d20+4 8 Miss again

Overcharge Flamethrower at Swarm: 1d20+4 12 Hit? Burn 4+2E+1 heat

That has got to be the luckiest Vulture on the planet!

Showdown, Turn 3

The mechanized infantry moves forward, opening with al guns on the vultures - two disappear in a explosion of flesh and bones, the rest keep moving swiftly towards your position.

The first swarm soldiers on, engulfed by the flames of Harvey's weapons, oblivious to the first spike pit - they don't take long to the bottom, where they quickly dissolve into a thick goo. A fate also shared by the second webber as it races towards the mechanized infantry.

The first spiner raises its hackles again and shoots another wide energy beam, flooding Harvey and Abigail awash with ionized plasma, while the second begins emittind a high-pitched hum reminiscent of a coilgun recharging.

The rest of the webbers move forward, two of them positioning themselves to cover the spiners by struding a thick morass of black tendrils in front of them.

OOC:
Harvey and Abigail take 4 AP Energy damage.
Both spiners and webers behind the wall are under full cover.
The spike pits that have killed both creatures are now un-poisoned, they now deal only 1d6 physical damage until they're covered with poison again.

Sensing an opportunity, Kingsley had Knightmare barrel forward, slamming into the flank of the second spiner and fourth webber. The pike swung in wide arcs, cleaving into the spiner first before slamming into the weber, the shockwave from the blow hitting both, followed by Knightmare whirling around and kicking the spiner with both hind hooves.

OOC: Everything I designed this build to do happened.
Attack: 1d20+1d6+5 19
Damage: 2d6+2 11
So 19 to hit and 11 AP kinetic damage against the Spiner 2. Backswing cut triggers into Weber 4.
Backswing Cut: 1d20+1d6+5 25
Damage: (2d6+6)/2 7
Crit against Weber triggers Wide Arc Cleave and Unstoppable, so Weber takes 7 total after bonus damage and halving, and Spiner takes another 4.
Improvisde Attack: 1d20+5 23
Damage: 4d6k2 9
Making an Improvised Attack against Spiner 2 thanks to Unstoppable, for 9 AP Kinetic. So unless the Spiner has resistance to kinetic damage, it's dead.
