Really - who would be interested in a new version of the game? One with more
simplified mechanics.

I already know all about www.jorune.org and Joe Adams' j20 system, as well as
his efforts to use POD to publish new fan based material. I am asking if anyone
would want to see a completely new and supported official game.

With Risus as the engine? Sure.

I'd be game... so long as it was a very simple (or just neat) system.

Jorune fans have begged for a long time for a decent system, but there are complicated ownership issues. There are many unnofficial system conversions floating around, however.

Edit: Put me down for a "F... yeah!"

Quite well aware of the issues - I have corresponded with Andrew Leker a few times,
and have corresponded with Joe Adams (aka Joe Coleman, radiojoe) who worked
on 3rd edition and runs jorune.org.

Ignore specific engines - it might have to be something new.

Okay, well, put it this way- I'd pay for a non-system setting book chock full of art work and adventure hooks.

Hell with it, I'll use whatever system I like with it anyway.

Me too. I bought a copy of Jorune (Skyrealms circa 1985 edition) recently, just for the artwork - Mmmmmmmm, all those lovely full page pencil sketches, but I'd like to run it with a playable system. Not d20 though. there's way too much of that on the market already. Lets have some variety in our RPing diet please.
