Max Gladstone's Craft Sequence of novels is all about this. Magic spells like contracts, soul-stuff like money and investments, gods like companies. Here's an actual line from Full Fathom Five, the third book in the series:

"Kai ruminated through the afternoon, and dinner, and the night. By 1:00 AM. her work was done: three chickens sacrificed, one each on altars of silver, iron, and stone; a stack of profit and loss statements dispatched by nightmare telegraph; a prayer litany chanted balancing on one foot; a proposal drafted, suggesting an Iskari family shift their faith from the high-risk personal resurrection market to dependable grain-focused fertility."

Summoning Agents. For when you want to make arrangements to negotiate with the Temestuous Sultan of the Djinn of the Sixth Towering Clouds, and don't want to infuriate her with a summons or direct message. Summoning agents act as go-betweens: making convenient times for both parties to meet, acceptable offerings for the summoning, and even translation services if needed. It's a tricky job: tracking the majordomos of extradimensional courts, not to mention their little quirks of protocol, is a complete headache. And you can't rely on tomes for it, since they will almost certainly be out of date.

That's why everyone's registered on LinkedDjinn these days.
It would be easier if you didn't have to be a specialist just to understand their titles though. Djinn titles change like fashion, and are often quite counter intuitive regarding what they actually do. At least the infernal lowerarchy is consistent. The celestial titles, on the other hand, are simple and self explanatory.
