Also, as of 2e, they experience time non-linearly. Their last descent may have been in 1917, now awaken in 2019, and their next awakening may be during the French Revolution. So if you are a history buff or a fan of Dark Eras, this is an excellent excuse to lean into that.
This seems like a really intriguing choice to make. I mean, I like 1e and Sothis Awakens was very fruitful in terms of "how do I do historical narratives when I'll inevitably fuck up as a non-history major"; but the idea of Arisen as time-travelers (and not in the way of the joke of 'just very slowly and always forward) could prove to be super fun.
