Oh man... another 20th century mission.
That keeps bouncing around in my head. Time Travelling Agents doing retro-intelligence to ensure the time stream goes as it should.

59) Perscription to spy
You are to investigate some missing products and shipment from a pharmacutical company. They are doing some sensitive research and production for various parts of the government that you are not currently authorized to know about.

When you first investigate. SEcurity is quite tight, because of agro-business, comes pharma-companies (then intelligence). Once you get insides, you find out that nobody in the building knows about any product and samples being stolen. Once you get inside, you realize it really has to be an inside job. Someone shifting labels and sending out cases of various medications and samples of various drugs in process. However, they only have done it once, and that was just a couple of days ago... after you were assigned to this.

Some of the drugs sent this pass through were odd compounds (possible nootropics if you have the chemistry/ medical skills) being made for this food company, which is a front if you have someone to check it out (it might be one of our fronts). And if you push that front, someone from the agency will come to push back (unless you get lucky and your control officer can stop this before it gets messy).

Well you find who stole it and what. You can even find out where it went. You need to trace that receiving person.

He is obviously involved in industrial espionage. The first time you encounter this person, you better make this stick. It will be like taking on Jason Bourne with the writers on his side. You will be lucky to be alive.

The second time you and your group go after him, it was like he knew you were coming. He leads you right into the trap. He is looking pretty bad towards the end.

If you extract yourself and keep going - hunting him down.. you will find him.. bleeding through his eyes, quickly dying.

If you left the body behind and don't clean up....Oh... Agency wants you to ensure the body does not get an autopsy. Breaking into a morgue is so much fun. They want you to have one of their people do the autopsy.

60) Times gone by

It seems to be a basic mission. You need to gain the target's trust (husband or older kids), infiltrate the family house. The head of things (Mom) is in inport/ export with ties to narcotics and possible weapons), search for some documents (via the computer, the safe, and maybe some other hidden spots), You need to check the office as well.

This got complicated. Someone who knew you on a previous assignment is near the mother. (Now you have to back track and try to use several covers at once... and make this convincing.

61) The Broken

A covert for a Private Intelligence Firm (Heller Boggs) was sent into to infiltrate a group (The Broken - an eco slant anti-corporation group). It would assume she would do what she could to join the group. She has joined the group as a Jammer, an action operative. The group "attacked" a group of pharma corp VPs and Jr VPs and some friends by spiking their drinks with a new and revolutionary antibiotic agent made by the pharma corp. (It allegedly does nerve damage to many people, and in some this degeneration will continue and be fatal). She was their face, the person on youtube that stated that these people were dosed and what the drug actually does. (There are some other events they participate in, salting the crawl spaces of mansions with "safe" pesticides, arranging a car exec to be in an accident where the airbags should of saved him, you get the thing) When two peple who went to the party three to four months late are diagnosed with degenerative nerve disorders... the group puts out a victory post, again with her as the face. The operations since she joined them have become more more effective. The agency believes she has gone native and truly joined the group.

This normally would not be an agency involved event, except that two government officials (one from the drug approval branch and one from the elected government). Thus the agency is involved because of that and the escalation of targets (the number and importance) will bring government employees and the government itself into the group's crosshairs.

The Mission is to locate and neutralized the Private Op agent and her cell of The Broken. Infiltration might be in order.

By the way, The Broken are each people who have been seriously injured, their life destroyed, or families wiped out, by the corporations they target. Each of them is a believer in the anti-corp vengance.

Some people have trouble using "real world" espionage units and countries. Thus any number of fictional alternatives need to be used. So here are some organizations which are useful.

https://forum.rpg.net/showthread.ph...encies-Corps-and-Cults-for-my-Birthday/page15

61) Cypress

Cypress is a near global conspiracy that looks to take over the world (or at least guide its leaders/ make policy) to save Humanity from itself and preserve the biosphere for the future generations. Cypress seems to have a board and several divisions, which makes it seem like there is a business orientation in its founding. These upper levels are shadowy at best and this information could be misinformation fed to lower cells.

The Existence of Cypress started in the Early 80s, where the evidence of its existence was found as some intelligence analysts noticed a pattern in certain "small random group" activity. Cypress has been a back burner sort of project for most intelligence agencies since then as it falls just out of their mandate (though it could be a domestic terror group if one stretches the definition). There have been operations against Cypress, but nothing has successfully stopped the organization.

Most of Cypress is a cell structure of operatives. Some cells are ecoterrorists, radical pro animal, pro environmental, pro ocean, or some combination of the above. They sabotage polluters and ecologically less friendly harvesting companies. Some cells are bioscientists finding a "better final solution" to the Human Issue that does not kill off everyone in one release. (The problem with a biotech solution is not that they won't work, it is that they work too well. They want to resolve the issue, not wipe out humanity). Some cells seem to specialize in political activity, mostly through breaking/ entering/ blackmail. (Cypress is more about saving the world than running it.) Some cells seem to have a military/ mercenary aspect, just a contingency someone might supposed.

Certain cells know of other cells and their control (contact up stream). They coordinate for bigger and more complex plans... a ecoterror cell might break into a known "evil corporation" and liberate some data that another cell needs (while doing their normal spike the gear gig), which is then used by a biotech/ science team and the existence of the information used as a threat to the corporate leaders to buy a tanker company (so they can be made to become an example... as they will run aground somewhere). In this age of social media and digital flit communication, the tracking of the communication - especially since it traverses dark net - is limited.

While cells seem to operate individually, there is often "a call" to perform a coordinated or complex action. Who ever is running divisions of cells or calling the shots is very cunning and understands the manipulation of power and materials quite well.

Recruiting into Cypress tends to happen in colleges, finding the best, brightest, and unconventional... full of idealism.

Cypress may directly or indirectly own various biopreserves and interests in certain companies. Without knowing much more about the upper structure it may be hard to detect. Certainly several very rich people have been tied to Cypress money channels, some of which do not fit their profile (making one suspect blackmail).

There are rumors of "secret bases" in various places. Some of them sound more like survival bunkers ala The Phoenix Foundation or the Morrow Project. (Cypress could be a fringe puppet of the Foundation).
27) K-19

K-19 is an "off the books" project division of the CIA. They are able to go and do things that the normal CIA is unable to do, things that are illegal and of questionable morality for the real CIA. It does some qustionable things in the name of national and international security, including arms trafficking (which it does through fronts to keep up contacts and trace how the weapons flow), assassination, and dealing with alien states, criminal and rebel organizations. It recruits people from various agencies, often arranging an inciting incident for them to be let go, quit, or terminated from the real agencies. These events often create a cover for them to be found doing "things of questionable legitimacy". Using various fronts, K19 continues its clandestine work.

To most of its agents and staff this is the truth. They are doing the deeds needed to be done to protect the country and the free world. However, to those with Level 5 and above clearance, the truth is different. While K-19 might of started out as a CIA project, it was closed down. Most of the agents involved were deativated because they "went beyond their mandate". Those involved decided that it was quite the "going concern" and used the existing contacts and networks to continue their rogue operation. K-19 is now quite the power player in the shady side of power, though few know of its actual existance.

To keep things seeming honest, certain information is leaked to the real CIA, which then acts upon it. There is small group inside the Level 5 and above that is coopting K-19 to its original purpose; using it as a weapon for National Security. Most were loyal agents and special agents before being recruited and only found out after. They think it might still be following a CIA plan, but being orchastrated by the few Level 9s and above. After all, they arrange "bad missions" all the time, couldn't the real CIA?

K-19 are highly trained, highly resourceful agents. They don't get too much of the "cool spy gear", but they can get military grade gear almost anywhere in the world.

62) Recruit and...

You are sent to recruit an agent/ contact. It is someone you encountered previously on a mission run. They should trust you some.

Someone who doesn't like you... in fact someone you are pretty sure was dead (flash back to you shooting them and they fall off something).... they just happen to be in the same area at the same time. They make you. (It would be best if both came from the same mission.. but these things don't always fall into place).

Now it become a game of cat and mouse... and you have to convince your new friend that it is great to be a spy... all the while trying to avoid dying or having the friend being killed along the way.

63) You are assigned to Mexico. You are supposed to surveil a deputy minister, as your control had evidence that he is leaking confidential information from not only his own government, but forwarding shared intelligence from your government and other governments. This is making things complicated for the war on terror. So, after much surveillance, you have little to show for it but suspicions. You will eventually get the go ahead to break in and investigate this ranking official in a foreign government. (with the caveat, get caught and we deny your existence).

So as you are setting up your break in and surveillance, you are going to be assaulted by some narco cartel goon. They believe you are US DEA.

The Deputy Minister is the contact for the Gulf Cartel. He is providing services to them. They do not know about other groups he is selling information too. (They might help you a bit, because a) he is selling information ... and possibly their information... to other sources and b) there are some relatively recent foreign terror attack in country and the goon in charge lost someone to that. "While people die, this is outside business not ours...."

64) African Pirates have taken a large sailing ship that has passengers. This is a normal tragic event. They stole a laptop from one of the vacationers. Again, not a big thing. Except he was a US scientist doing some very scary biologic work (it is not bioweapons per say, but genetic mods on the cheap can let you go beyond what is possible now). His outside work isn't dangerous, but the technique used is compromising (not quite what they are doing in his lab, but close). There was probably one foreign agent on the ship, as there was an attempt to get into his cabin (but the computer was with him).

We have to find that laptop. It can not remain in "the wind". Now you need to find the pirates, get the laptops, and prevent the foreign agents from getting it as well.

You will get to africa where the scientist and his family are staying in a hotel down the coast, recovering from their harrowing experience. All the people from the ship are supposed to be here. Maybe you can find the foreign agent before they get a head start on you.

If you want to use Cypress agents from post 55 (not entry 55), it would fit in quite well.

65) Children, orphans to be reunited with parents or adopted parents, are being threatened at airports and told to carry things in their backpacks. These children come from war torn areas of the Middle East, so they believe people will shoot them. These items are normally smuggled historic/ artistic artifacts, but a few are given toys with drugs, money, or information. Most of the time, the items make it through, sometimes the child is caught and stuck in INS hell for a while.

Control believes the man behind this is one UK citizen Carter Hull. He is a small wheel in the legal antiquities market, but a bigger wheel when it comes to moving questionable providence items. He became an agency problem when he expanded into small item smuggling. While wanting to stop the smuggling and use of children of course, we need to find out who are his contacts on both ends of the operation.

66) In the French Countryside, the agency needs your team to eliminate a double agent named Beckman. (The Double Agent has never worked with any of you.). Beckman is dealing with a criminal contact, one Jacques Mesrine. Your group may or may not of actually done the deed, as that deal was going bad.

Your team is to return to Paris to a safehouse. Then the explosion. It seems Beckman's brother was an agent... he is going to take out everyone who had anything to do with his death (thinking the agency burned him, tying up loose ends, or just a vengeance trip pick a reason). He and his friends (mercenaries and criminals that he has tapped for a number of actions) are going to see you. It is time for a series of action scene. You need to find them, find the Older Beckman (who is an agent who is now off the reservation... and might also be a double agent), and survive all that. Think like a movie director and try to stage the action among all those great Parisian monuments.
