"Okay Girls time to put your game face on. Hey when we're home we don't need to do the naked bathing thing do we?" Kelly runs an eye over the girls to determine which ones might need help.

"No, Kelly," says Olivia, after taking a moment to figure out what Kelly's talking about. "We can skip it."

Nobody needs to be carried the rest of the way, though just about everyone is slower than Latima might like. They traipse through the trees for maybe thirty minutes before they can see the woods opening ahead of them. They stop before getting too close.

Beyond the edge of the trees is what looks kind of like Devon's house, if it had been built by Vlad the Impaler and left to rot for a thousand years. It's all ruined walls and spikes and dried bloodstains now. Near the center of the ruins is a large, glowing portal, swirling orange. Devon's swimming pool is vaguely visible on the other side.

More concerning, between you and there is a welcoming party. Maybe five more demon knights, and their leader, and that demon thing that Coach turned into. They are clearly waiting for the girls to arrive, but, fortunately, they appear to be expecting that arrival from a different angle, as they are all, presently, looking off to the girls' left.

Kelly looks at the group then at grounds between them and the portal, is there any way to keep the girls from being seen while they approach it. Kelly is happy to buy time for them but thinks that they might need a bit more help than that, even with supercharged Latima to help.

It may be possible to sneak through without being seen - the ruins provide plenty of cover - but it won't be easy. All it would take would be for one person to trip or turn around at the wrong moment.

Of course, fighting may not be any easier.

Kelly motions the girls a little further back into the tree line and speaks quietly. "Latima what about we try to distract them while the girls sneak through the rubble. I think that gives the girls the best chance to get through." She looks at the girls. "You guys are going to have to be really careful. Don't try to run or even move fast. Concentrate on being quiet. Try and keep stone and stuff between you and them all the way. Get as close as you can and then wait till you're all ready to go. There's probably going to be a flare of energy or something as soon as the first person goes through. If one of you heads through ahead of the others it might mean the rest don't get through." Although Kelly has asked Latima to stay with her there's no doubt in her mind that she would. "Latima and I will go around to the other side where they're expecting us to come from and when the fighting starts then you guys head in slowest first."

Latima nodded seriously, " Once you are all through, we'll follow."

Off some looks of concern she grinned, " Don't forget. We have super powers."

"Yeah apparently promising your mother you'd try and give cheerleading a fair hearing qualifies as a quest, who knew." Kelly shoots a glance at Latima.

Latima shrugged back.....they knew all about demons and alternate dimensions now....she gave Kelly a weak smile in apology.

Olivia looks at Kelly and Latima and nods. "I'll make sure everyone gets through. You can count on me."

Ace shakes her head. "This is bullshit. We shouldn't be leaving anyone behind. What if Kelly and Latima don't make it?"
