Hi there,

real life kind of intruded this weekend and I didn't have the chance I'd hoped to dig into the rules, so it's probably better if I bow out.

Or, more heroically, "you guys go on ahead, I'd just slow you down! I'll hold them here! Get to the choppah!!!"
Shame - if you ever feel like jumping back in, hit us up.

I'll think I'll be able to play, yes. I'll let the returning players claim archetypes before I start building, though.

Previous lineup included a deadshot lady sniper, a grizzled Irish wheelman, an enigmatic hacker, and a Singaporean millionaire playboy. Steer clear of those, and I think you're fine ;)

Pretty sure Eddie wasn't that enigmatic. Or is that a reference to my username?

Sounds very juicy
Code name "Samson" was recruited into Mossad straight out of the IDF. He was an intrusion specialist, responsible for getting his team into a building via any means necessary -- picking locks, blowing off hinges, or blasting a hole in the wall. His team was observing what they thought was a terrorist cell; they were operating out of one specific house and after a diversionary tactic to draw off the cell his team entered the building to investigate.

They weren't terrorists, or at least not Palestinian or anything Samson had seen before. The basement had a bat-winged creature that literally tore the teammembers apart. Samson set the last of his explosives on a short timer and ran for it, barely getting outside before the entire building blew up.

As it turns out, reporting that a man-bat monster destroyed your entire team but there's no proof because you blew everything up is not a method for career advancement in Israeli intelligence. Samson went on an extended vacation to [location] where [some inciting incident that leads him to the rest of the team].

Sounds very good - feel free to go ahead and stat him up. The kickoff is in London, and the rest of the team are all more or less in the covert action underworld, so he could have got his explosives from the Irish guy, employed the sniper for the occasional hit - whatever makes a good convergence of backstories.
