IIRC, the scion of X things are indestructible only on one side. So once he flips, the next scion card that comes out will blow up all the extra ones.

I think Tachyon is usually pretty handy in our games. She can still deliver some hard hits even with Progency blowing up stuff all the time, and has some defenses for the group.

That's half-right. With Advanced Progeny, the Scions are indestructible on one side, and Progeny double-plays on the other. But on Challenge Mode, the Scions don't self-destruct until the fifth one comes out, on both sides.

This still means that you need Progeny to flip early. For the Prime Wardens, this is actually pretty easy. You need Fanatic to blast herself down to 10 HP as soon as possible, and then alternate between Captain Cosmic constantly playing more constructs for Progeny to eat, Argent Adept providing damage reduction, and Fanatic giving herself an Aegis, while you fight Progeny. (If you want a slow, terrible grind you can focus Tempest, Argent Adept, and Haka on giving Haka all the card draws so that he can get out infinite Ground Pounds, but that is unpleasant.)

For the Freedom Five, you want Legacy to tank hits to get himself to low HP and then use Next Evolution to be immune to physical damage while he uses his healing powers to juggle his health in the 8-9 range. That fight is only Advanced, so not so bad.

And the Dark Watch are fighting Challenge Mode, so Progeny's stuff isn't invincible against them. Just focus on sticking damage reduction on him as much as possible and let Mr. Fixer redirect some of it back at his face.

Good stuff, thanks. Forgot that Advanced modes are different on sides.

Edit: That almost went well, died with Progeny at 4 HP because he wiped my weapons and locked my cardplay out.
The secret in that particular setup clearly is to cheese the Incap abilities of Bunker->Tachyon to Throat Jab him every round (optionally with Incap Zero boosting that damage a bit and Incap Legacy helping against Rook City's bullshit). Preferably with Wraith not so low on HP that one bad villain round of removals/blocks kill you.
Wraith: "So here's the plan. Step 1: Everyone dies!"

And Progeny down. That just ... sort of worked out as normal?

Wraith throat jabbed and stun bolted him a lot which kept him in check - never really kept a good item infrastructure going for long to do more
Zero did a whole lot of nothing most of the time because he couldnt keep his thingamabobs in play. Just staying a alive with frost thingamabob and drawing cards for Blight Scions. In the last third of Progeny's HP kept both thingamabobs out long enough to get some nice galvanized one-shot punishment in.
Bunker started out with Recharge mode for lack of other hand options, lol. Also didn't really get off the ground, but got all 3 Foam grenades out to shut Rook City up, which was nice. In the end Tony Taurus saved him from the Fallen Statuary so he even stayed alive without going Throat Jab recurrence cheese. Some double plinking at P at the end too.
Tachyon was weird. What did she even eat that much damage from? (Flipped Progeny for the kill obviously, but even getting there?) Got some Hypersonics out alternated with Wraith's Jabs to slow him down, got all 3 Barrages out for sub-par damage due to lack of burst, then croaked and helped keep people's damaging infrastructure out with her card play incap.
Legacy mostly did usual damage buffing with ongoing and power. Had portions of his tank suite out at times but never really got far with it. Should probably have punched P instead of trying to build that up.

Harpy's up next.

Most reasonably assumable pre-game conditions seem to be checked and rejected at usual discussion places.

And here we go. No definite unlock condition out yet, but enough details from other unlocks getting posted:

Spoiler: Show
- Advanced Gloom probably wherever (did Temple like some other reported unlocks)
- with whatever team including Harpy
- going from all green to all grey tokens (possibly optionally in one turn/round), then (possibly optionally) flipping no more tokens
- while having Harpy destroy at least 1 villain relics (2 this time)

worked for me after some failures where I probably didn't have her destroy relics.

Still trying to unlock variant Harpy - anything definite yet? What about the others?
The only one we're still looking for is La Comodora's condition.

Harpy:
Spoiler: Show
Defeat Advanced GloomWeaver in the Realm of Discord with The Harpy on the team. Flip all control tokens to avian, then all to arcana. After that, they must remain all arcana until the end of the game. The Harpy must destroy at least one villain relic, and may not be incapacitated.

You can find them here. The Bold text from MigrantP in the variant's unlock discussion thread is what you're looking for, generally near the end.

The unlock conditions are usually posted at Greater than Games as they're discovered. Here's where we're at for the current series - everyone but La Commodora has been figured out. Sblocking for both length and not spoiling it for people who just want to figure it out themselves.

Luminary
Spoiler: Show
First, defeat Baron Blade in the Realm of Discord without Luminary on the team. Then, win a game in Freedom Tower with the Freedom Five (any variants). Then, in a game in Megalopolis with Luminary on the team, use the power on each Doomsday Device while at least 15 cards are in Luminary's trash.

The Harpy
Spoiler: Show
Defeat Advanced GloomWeaver in the Realm of Discord with The Harpy on the team. Flip all control tokens to avian, then all to arcana. After that, they must remain all arcana until the end of the game. The Harpy must destroy at least one villain relic, and may not be incapacitated.

Akash'Thriya
Spoiler: Show
Win a game in Nexus of the Void with Akash'Thriya on the team. Each unique primordial seed must enter the environment deck. Akash'Thriya must be reduced to 9 or less HP, then recover back to full HP. Akash'Flora must be in play at the end of the game without ever having left play.

La Commodora
Spoiler: Show
Still unclear. Definitely seems to involve La Commodora in the Time Cataclysm, probably requiring playing or discarding all equipment, definitely ends with a powerful Run Aground. Current theorizing is that it might need a certain number of rewinds.

Lifeline
Spoiler: Show
Win a game in the Court of Blood with Lifeline on the team. Play each of Lifeline's unique one-shots while both copies of Cosmic Immolation are in play. Lifeline must be incapacitated by Blood Countess Bathory. No other heroes may be incapacitated.

Guise
Spoiler: Show
Not yet!
