Subnautica - Below Zero

So the new Subnautica game, Below Zero, is in Early Access. I'm getting it installed right now.

From what I've seen from streamers/Youtube, it's a straight up sequel. Alterra now has an outpost and some folks on planet 4546B, specifically in an Arctic-type region nowhere near the Aurora's crash site.

Anyone else playing?

UI though it was DLC rather the stand alone game?
It cenrtianly shows up on Steam Store Page for Subnautica.
They're advertising it on the regular Subnautica page, but it's a standalone game. Totally different area, new character (with actual voice acting for the protagonist!), new vehicles, everything.

I've got maybe an hour into it so far, but that's enough to see some differences. No acid mushrooms, so those are replaced with a ribbon plant for battery making. There's a peeper variant (arctic peeper), plus the pengwings (which are totally creepy looking).

So far, it feels like a new Subnautica. Slight differences, but still the same horror-masked-as-survival type game.

How's the Early Access experience so far? Because I love Subnautica, I recently finished it even, but I don't know if because of my weak pc or what there were a lot of annoying bugs

So far, I haven't had any more problems than with regular Subnautica. Looking around wasn't super smooth in the first few minutes, but that sorted itself out really fast. I haven't come across anything actually broken yet.
