Successor to Rule7, Pagga, etc.?

Remember Pagga and Rule7? Is there an heir apparent to those fora around somewhere nowadays? I need my fix of more specifically UK/Euro style LRP talk. :)

Not really. Most larp discussion has gone to Facesuck, so its locked behind a privacy-paywall, non-searchable, and reduced to ephemera.

Well, that's disappointing. Now I suppose I'm stuck with Plan B, which involves kidnapping people like Matt Pennington and Ryan Paddy and chaining them to radiators in my basement so that I can have substantive discussions about LARP design whenever I like.

Or at least I could do that, if I had some radiators.

And a basement.

Stupid Facebook.

It's a real shame, I used to frequent both of those sites. These days getting any kind of discussion about larp outside of a system's specifics is nigh on impossible.
It's a huge retrograde step IMO

Empire-related rpg chat happens on Facebook or on Discord, but I'm not aware of much in the way of more general larp fora existing these days.

The thing is, I haven't larped in ages now, but am still keenly interested in the hobby, and would love to have somewhere that talks about the hobby as a whole so I can keep up to date with what's new, and maybe be tempted to join a larp in the future. (Pagga very nearly persuaded me to join Maelstrom, I only didn't cos I couldn't find anyone else interested at the time)

Empire also has an active forum here mostly helping people get their heads round the system - https://forums.profounddecisions.co.uk/

As for conversations about LARP it's mainly across various FB groups and on people's own walls. I'd love a decently moderated discussion forum of some kind but that requires people to mod the damn thing, which is a somewhat thankless task.

Euro/Nordic larp wise - https://www.facebook.com/groups/larpers.bff/ is a decent place to start.

You might be interested in The Peckforton Papers, a collection of essays about live action role-playing in the UK - http://www.wychwood-end.com/publications.html which came out recently.

Oh and https://larpx.com/ has a bunch of UK larp thoughts saved from the jaws of FB that you might find of interest, alongside a recent liveblog about Knutpunkt2018.
