"Now that's rude." The girl pouted. "I'm not here to fight. I was enjoying seeing you make Bloody Wei look like a fool." She directs her voice down to the collapsed Wei. "See, you smelly fat pig, I knew you should be replaced!"
Zhang is disinclined to grant curtesy to lurkers who fail to choose a side when conflict arises. "So you cower in the shadows while the righteous fight and only come out to mock your enemies when someone else has incapacitated them? Perhaps you should have chosen the rat as your talisman. It seems to suit you more."

Burnt Paper rests comfortably on one foot on her pillar, centres her chi and studies the new arrival silently. It is concerning that she managed to arrive without being noticed and it is reflexive for Jiujin to scan the surroundings for other unexpected arrivals.

OOC: Just in case... Scanning for threats: 4dF+3 5

Burnt Paper doesn't pick up anything. The coast looks clear beyond the girl.

"I'm surprised you haven't heard of us." The girl replied, shrugging off Zhang's mockery. "And the medallion? That doesn't belong to you. You should put it back where you found it before my big brothers and sisters come. Just some helpful advice."

"Ah... The common complaint of the unworthy, untalented, and uneducated: 'Haven't you heard of me?' Reputation requires deeds worth remembering, and few folk remember those who hide in the shadows. We shall be keeping the medallion, and as for your brothers and sisters... Well, if they have your bravery and Bloody Wei's clumsiness, we shouldn't have much to worry about, I'd imagine. Now how about telling us what happened to the Two Thunders Academy and what was your role in all this? Go on--impress us with your knowledge."

Little Flame Yang

Yang watches Bloody Wei as she listens to the yammering of Number 11 and her comrades.

He still breathes, she thinks. Does that leave the world a better place, or worse?

At 11's threat of retribution, Yang takes the medallion from around Wei's neck. A moment later, she squeezes it and its companion "9" in frustration.

9 was Monkey.
11 is Dog.
12 was Pig.

"They are named after the years," she mutters quietly, certain that the others had already figured it out.

There are 12 of them, then? Pig was the least, so does that mean Rat is the strongest?

Yang begins working the monkey medallion onto the loop with the pig medallion.

A target for myself to protect my comrades, and warning to those who would perform evil.

The girl simply smiled broadly. "If you want to judge us by Wei, you'll be in for a surprise. As for Two Thunders, I wasn't there. If you really want to know, stick around town. Someone will meet and tell you."

She gives you another look of curiosity. "What are you going to do with him, anyway?"

Burnt Paper does a slightly flashy and imprecise flip off her pillar and with the tiniest of stumbles, places herself on a rooftop adjacent to the girl. She imitates the sloppy, overblown Peach-Eating Monkey style leaps that Wenyu "Gold Teeth" Zou used to use. She lands with a noisy scattering of tiles, trying to provoke a reaction and watching carefully to see how the girl changes her stance, trying to discover what her fighting style is.

OOC: Not sure how many zones away the girl is, so Overcome Athletics: 4dF+2 3 for the movement. Burnt Paper is trying to move without giving away her own skills but also get a read on the girl's skills. I believe reading someone's Kung Fu is a fighting roll Overcome Notice/fight: 4dF+3 2. Let me know if you want a Deceive roll.

Zhang Luishi notes the quick moves of Burnt Paper from the corner of his eye. Though she seemed the doddering old lady when serving tea, she had the unnerving ability to vanish into great distances when one's back was turned. To the young Lady Rat he says, "It is none of your business what our intentions are. For someone so reluctant to reveal her own motives, you certainly are rather nosy about the affairs of your betters."

The girl adjusts as she sees Burnt Paper make her move, but it seems the sudden jittery shift of any child her age. Obviously Burnt Paper knows the green-clad girl is not what she is pretending to be, but seeing beyond that to her actual abilities or style is not going to be so easy.

"The teapot is boiling, Mr. Kettle." The young girl tells you. "If you want to know, stick around town. My elder siblings will talk to you."

That's when she does a sudden backflip taking her flying over the backside of the building and she disappears from sight, leaving you with Bloody Wei, who is now a loud snorer.

OOC: I decided to use Chang-Chan's Deceive as passive opposition, modified by a stunt she has which in total beats Burnt Paper's Notice. For plot purposes, you can try to follow but she will have disappeared.

"Well, isn't that a wonderful good morning," Luan says, standing over the unconscious Bloody Wei.

"Someone bind his hands and legs," she says, kneeling in the ruins and pulling a series of phials from her pack each one marked with indecipherable symbols written in some secretive thieves cant. "What we need is something to get him talking," she says, grinding a particularly foul-smelling herb, "Poet, get me some hot water."

OOC: Crafting a smelling salts / truth serum combo (it's probably meth) http://orokos.com/roll/704879: 4dF+4 7 That's nice!
