[USA] Upcoming Conventions and Events

Manhattan MiniCon II

The Manhattan Gamer's Guild
(https://www.meetup.com/Manhattan-Gamers-Guild/*) will be hosting a
small one day role-playing game convention.

It will be on Saturday, June 3rd.

It will be held at the Mulberry Street Library
(https://www.nypl.org/locations/mulberry-street)*, in a private room.
We'll have the room for the whole day, from 10AM to 5PM.

You can get details by going to
https://www.meetup.com/Manhattan-Gamers-Guild/events/239130799/*
If you have a game you want to play, or if you have any questions, you can
reply there.

We'll have four tables, so we'll probably be able to run up to eight
games throughout the day.

We'll be posting separate meetups for each game that will be run.

GM's Needed!
We're still looking for GMs to volunteer running games. If you have a
game you'd like to run, just reply to the meetup and we can work out the
details.

OrcaCon - January 12-14, 2018
Bellevue, WA http://www.orcacon.org

OrcaCon is a tabletop games convention, which includes board and card games, role-playing games, and miniatures games. OrcaCon is focused on creating a safe and welcoming space for promoting the tabletop games hobby, supporting diversity in tabletop games, and building a community of both novice and experienced game players.

We coming up on year three in January. We had 800 folks for our first show in 2016, and we had 1000 folks at this year's show. We're expecting at least 1200 folks for our show coming up. We're about half board games and half RPGs, which include larger things like the D&D Adventurers League and the Green Ronin Freebooter GM program (as we're the unofficial Green Ronin Publishing convention).

We're featuring a Catan National Qualifier tournament, a Magic Pre-Release, hosted by Games Plus. We also feature a panel/workshop track, with many amazing creators in the tabletop industry. We have a quiet room, a Play & Win library, Demo Table area, and a Playtest Area. We also will be featuring the official OrcaCon beer, the Blackfish Stout, in the hotel bar. Made for us by Salish Sea Brewing in Edmonds, WA.

If you're interested in submitting games, you can do so here: http://www.orcacon.org/game-submissions/

GaryCon is coming next year. Thursday March 7th through Sunday March 10th 2019. The website for signup is https://garycon.com/

Attendance is $75 for the weekend (there is no daily badges, it’s weekend or nothing). There are higher badge levels with additional benefits, but $75 gets you in the door.
GM 16 hours (4 events) and get next year’s badge for free. The con rewards you for giving back to it. There are often additional rewards as well (Last year, I got a shirt, a mug, and badge holder, and a few other trinkets)

GaryCon is a unique premium convention experience, with table side food, drink, and alcohol service, a lot of industry insiders at the convention and playing games, .
