So, nobody else finds it interesting that Dale is apparently really into yaoi?

Everyone is into "Magical Love Gentleman". I'm not even joking, that's established canon!

PS. Although he does seem to be into manga/anime. Nice big Gally/Alita poster, there.

I'm already liking the way the relationship between Dale and May is shaping up.

A lot of the time in QC the AI companions come off like children, but at the same time the humans come off as lousy parents. Marten is the enabling parent who tolerates Pintsize's attention-seeking behavior rather than try to correct it and help Pintsize socialize. Hannelore is the neglectful parent who completely ignores Winslow when she has other things going on in her life. Marigold is the irresponsible parent who forces Momo to be the responsible for her rather than the other way around. (Seriously, Momo has to monitor her diet?)

Yeah, of course the AnthroPCs aren't children, but their relationships with their humans don't seem entirely healthy.

Dale is taking steps to set boundaries with May, pushing back when she pushes at him. In three strips he's shown more backbone in dealing with May then Marten ever has with Pintsize.

Of course, from what Pintsize said at one point, the relationship is meant more for the benefit of the human, rather than the other way around, so that when Martin spends less time with Pintsize, he feels like he did a good job by helping "his" human get more friends and a better social approach. So, from that perspective, the humans are at least as much the "child" in the relationship as the AI is.

It's unclear how representative this is, though.

Hasn't it been implied that Magical Love Gentleman is a crossover hit, liked by people outside its theoretical target market?

Y'know, like My Little Pony, but with more gay sex.
